Kapitel 14: Rewards for Legendary Achievement
Blacksmith Khan looked as grumpy as ever.
He noticed Finn being tied down by roots.
Finn was relieved. He felt it had been ages since they met.
If Blacksmith Khan was Yurian's master, he should be stronger than him, right?
He would be able to get them out of this mess, right?
Right?
"Master, why are you here?" Yurian questioned with a concerned expression. "It's dangerous here. Please, leave."
"I heard you became someone's successor after our party disbanded. But your master was a normal human? I expected better from you, Yurian."
The Earth Dragon's expression turned sour.
"Anyway, human, leave if you don't want to di-"
"What are you doing to my disciple and protégé?"
Blacksmith Khan grunted as he alternated his gaze between Finn, the Earth Dragon and the pendant on Finn's neck.
"Release the brat."
"Human, you dare command me?"
The Earth Dragon's expression worsened.
She looked angry.
The wrath of the dragon was feared by everyone.
But Blacksmith Khan ignored it like it was nothing.
"How can you be so stupid? Are you actually a lizard masquerading as a dragon?"
"W-what?"
She was stunned upon hearing the unhinged insults for the first time in her life.
No one had dared to be so reckless in front of her, not even the Dragon God.
"You brainless lizard. Why will the brat become your successor if you treat him like this? Haven't you heard about basic courtesy? Untie him!"
"Y-you dare order—"
"Untie him!"
The Earth Dragon, dumbstruck, turned to Yurian and saw him muttering something with dead eyes.
It was as if he had gone into a trauma relapse.
She noticed Finn was not looking at her favorably either.
Thinking again, even if she kidnapped Finn, he would not train properly if he had no intention of practicing Primal Sword.
She shouldn't have threatened him.
Her nervousness and excitement upon seeing someone who could use Primal Sword made her unable to make proper decisions.
She untied Finn.
"Are we going to start over?" She exhaled. "Finn, I want you to make my disciple. Are you willing?"
Her temperament changed.
She looked open to negotiations…?
Finn's respect for Blacksmith Khan saw a 10,000% increase.
He opened his mouth.
"I have no problem with it. But I must learn blacksmithing. I joined Infinite Realm to earn money. I can't do that if all I do is train."
"That's all you want?" The Earth Dragon asked.
"Yes."
"Goddammit! I didn't need to threaten you! Why didn't I start by asking the reason for your rejection!"
She looked frustrated with herself.
"Don't worry." She added. "I'll give you treasures from my vault. You can sell them. So you don't need to learn blacksmith—"
"Wait a minute you dammed lizard! What do you mean he doesn't need to learn blacksmithing?"
Blacksmith Khan became livid.
"I found him before you! I claimed him first!"
The Earth Dragon's eyes widened.
She seemed to be seriously considering Blacksmith Khan's opinion.
Finn spoke up.
"I should be one to decide—"
"Huh? Brat, are you saying you don't want to learn blacksmithing anymore? You got a way out of your situation and you decided to ditch me?"
Blacksmith Khan grabbed Finn's collar and pulled him down to his eye level.
"I 'generously' helped you, taught you, lent you materials and my shop. There is no way you are thinking of leaving me, is there? You will learn blacksmithing, wouldn't you?"
Finn finally realized why the dwarf had been helping him.
The blacksmith always planned to guilt trip Finn if he wanted to leave!
With no other choice, Finn nodded.
Blacksmith Khan snorted and let go of his collar.
Tricked, coerced, and cheated, Finn saw Yurian patting his back with a sympathetic expression.
"It's not that bad."
"…Did you become his disciple like this?"
"…Yes." Yurian gave a dead smile as he said telepathically. 'I was forced to give up adventuring and become a blacksmith. Despite his looks, master is a professional gaslighter.'
Yurian nodded.
He noticed Blacksmith Khan and the Earth Dragon discussing about his future.
"Although I said the brat is my protégé, in truth, I want to make him my master's disciple."
"I don't have a problem if he has another master. All I need is his time and a promise that he will has only me as his sword teacher."
"That's fine." Blacksmith Khan rubbed his chin. "The brat's skills are too low to meet my master. He needs to be able to forge Legendary weapons to meet him."
He continued.
"You can train him with the sword. It will teach him about the swords itself and elevate his blacksmithing skills as a result. I can take him from you after that."
They shook their hands after completing their discussion.
The Earth Dragon came towards Finn.
She stood in front of him and spoke,
"I want to make you my disciple and I want you to inherit the Primal Sword. What do you want in return?"
"Money."
The Earth Dragon laughed.
"Looks like I have a greedy disciple."
She raised the back of her palm.
"…?"
"Kiss my hand and accept me as your master."
It was a weird ritual but Finn wasn't the one to complain.
He complied.
As soon as his lips, touched her hand a series of notifications appeared.

[Reward: Dark Lightning Body Cultivation Technique]
Another notification appeared.

An influx of information appeared in Finn's mind.
The two rewards were specifically tailored for him. If it was another person who got the achievements, they would've gained a reward made for them.
He read the techniques' description.
Dark Lightning Body Cultivation Technique was a Legendary-grade technique.
The technique was divided in nine levels.
It increased his strength and speed at low levels.
From level 2, it allowed him to transform into lightning!
He could control lighting storms at will from level 4!
If he could reach fifth level in Dark Lighting Body Cultivation technique, he could destroy an entire city with a massive thunderbolt!
