A number of nods took place in front of me, the only one not participating being Lise as she looked torn between agreeing with the rest and looking at me with guilt in her eyes.

Dammit, Lise. If you agree with them, then agree with them. "It's okay, Lise. I've been overruled. We'll stick to the plan for now."

My sister clearly had another bout of guilt wash over her as she refused to look me in the eye, her shoulders shaking ever so slightly before straightening out of composure. That's my girl.

Still, my mind was actually made up about this idea, much to my own chagrin. I was going to make it work somehow, even with or without anyone's help.

"I supposed we're dismissed then," I announced, chuckling at the situation that we were all in. "You're all free to go. Not that I was stopping you in the first place."
