Kapitel 89: Chapter 89

It has been what? Three years? Maybe three years and a half. Lunaria has been peaceful, with only a few minor disturbances from the local Dothraki near Stormfist. There is nothing major besides a few skirmishes against the Dothraki once every four months.

Well, until now.

Standing in front of me was someone that I did not want to see at the moment. She is a priestess from the cult I did not like and banned in Lunaria. She is one of the Red Priestesses of R'hllor and, if what Bakir told me is true, one of the most fanatic priestesses in the entire organization.

I already banned her and her entire organization from my country, but here she is asking for an audience. The only reason why I accepted her in my palace was that she did not ooze the smell of death any longer.

She smells just like an average human.

"Melisandre was it?"

"Yes, your highness."

"What can I do for you?"

"I come here bringing some news, your highness."

"What kind of news?"

I look at her and see her smiling. I quickly get up from my throne and take out my sword when I feel a surge of mana coming from her. However, instead of the mana flying at the people around me or me, the mana danced around her.

I command my men to prepare for the worse but not to attack her for now.

She stayed there for a few seconds before suddenly she opened her eyes.

"The Great War will begin anew."

"The Old Enemy of Mankind has awakened and prepared for its great march."

"The Wolf shall be the first one to notice for it is their duty as the watcher."

"The Dragon shall be the one who kills the Old Enemy for good."

"However, the Dragon needs to visit their origin to search for the weapon."

"A weapon created from the kindling of the first fire."

"Only the blood of the worthy can take the sword and awaken its true power."

"Beware of the one-eyed crow."

"He will use the power of the deep to corrupt the first flame and use it to wreak havoc on the world."

"Take the sword before he takes it, for when it happens, the world will cease to exist."

Melisandre gasps loudly before falling to the ground. Her face is pale, and whatever magic that keeps her looking young starts to disappear.

I take out a vial from my pocket and give it to her. I help her drink the potion and see her old face start to change to its previous form.

"Thank you for your help, your highness."

I nod and help her get up before saying.

"What was that?"

"It was a prophecy, your highness. However, Lord R'hllor has given you a direct message of what will happen in the future."

"There are a lot of futures. I did not believe that the future only decided on one path. Future is what humans choose on their own."

"And Lord R'hllor already told me about your belief, and you are right. However, because of the Great Enemy, the path of the future was forced into two. The path where you take the weapon and the path where the One-Eyed Crow takes the weapon. When you take the weapon, the path to the future will branch into a thousand upon thousands of paths once more, but if the One-Eyed crow takes the weapon, the path will become one. The destruction of the world."

Haaaaa… This is the reason why I did not dwell in Divination arts. Prophecy is something fickle as the future is ever-changing. I once tried Divination, and I was bombarded with a lot of vision. Some are good, and some are bad.

I can choose which outcome I want, and the spell will show what I want to happen and not what will happen.

"So what do you want? You want me to the Ruin of Valyria?"

"Yes, your highness. I also beg you to let me come with you on your journey."

Haaaa… dammit! I hate this. I know something is coming from the north, and I can feel it. The chilling mana keeps getting bigger and bigger every time Jon and I visit the north. They start to attack the wall, and if not for my intervention, they will slip past the barrier the wall provides.

I hate getting involved in something that I did not start.

Urgh. Fine. Let's get this over with.

"Fine. Bakir, prepare some ships for an expedition. I did not need a big ship, I needed something that was fast and nimble. I also need a skilled captain and crew for this journey. I did not need a lot of crew. Make sure to prepare a lot of food that is stored on the ship and in my inventory."

I look at Bakir and start listing all things I need for this voyage.

"Your majesty! You cannot be serious about trusting this woman!"

"I know Bakir. I did not trust her."

"Then…!"

"But! I trust the chilling mana coming from the north every time I visit the Wall. It starts very subtly but as time goes on, it becomes more aggressive."

"Then what this woman says is true?"

"I don't know. However, what I know is that there is something coming from the north and the first one to fight them is the Stark family."

"I see."

"Bakir. I need you to gather any book related to any creature, human, or combination of both that comes from the north. I want to know what kind of creature we face."

"Of course, your majesty."

"Good."

I look back at Melisandre and say.

"And you. I will give you some room for you to stay in. I also let you explore the city but I must warn you that any preaching or talking about your God is prohibited and if you decide to make any trouble… I will kick you out of this city."

"Of course, your highness. My body and soul are yours to command."

I decide to ignore her last words and walk away from the throne room. I have some troublesome journeys to make.
