The duke continued to say, "Thank you for taking care of her during this time. If it wasn't for you, who knows what kind of places she would have run off to."

The duke raised a brow before asking, "Why wouldn't I be alright with it?"

Both Rose and I couldn't help being surprised again when we heard this.

Why wouldn't he be alright?

Well, she had followed me to another kingdom and had even followed me to the capital to get involved in the succession war. If I was her father, I wouldn't be happy that my daughter was involved in all of this.
