Did she just ask him that to his face? Conrad wished like hell that his twin wasn't within hearing distance or she would attempt to kill Diddy once again.

"Connie…is just going through a lot right now, Diddy? Cut her some slack, okay?" Conrad asked her instead.

"She almost murdered me today. Don't hold your breath. And you are just like her…"

"I saved your life, damn it!" Conrad lost his temper.

Defiance didn't talk for a few seconds after all. He had a point but so did she.

"I know but afterwards you told me we weren't allies or friends, Conrad (Diddy chuckled softly) to think that I actually fancied you" Defiance looked away when Conrad focused his gaze on her face.

She thought he was going to say something to what she just told him…anything would be better than staring at her in confusion. After a few seconds of awkward silence, Defiance spoke.
