Shadow slave: Souls Of Mystery

I have 32ish chapters so far. And from my experience reading, it’s been an interesting fic. The first nightmare felt pretty rushed, but was written well enough, along with some pretty good descriptions. I felt engrossed especially when the mc went into his soul sea. In regards to the main character, he was kinda brandish but still a fine mc, I’m sure that when I read more along with more chapter releases he will grow, the potential is there. The original characters are good, they have there own interactions and don’t feel like there just rehashes of other characters in the story(something prevalent I’ve seen in some fan fiction). the original characters I haven’t seen much of yet, nephis although doesn’t have the same unmovable object like aura, still retains her personality well, sunless so far seems very similar to what he would of been. Our mc is still a bit overpowerd, memories are very strong, along with being great at combat with not to much investment built into it. And the immunity to basically all mind affects feeling a little cheap for how strong it is. Along with the flaw when described being basically not consequential, it seems like something that should come with the innate ability instead of some hinderance. The fights are good but could be communicated differently as there will be times where it will be blank did this, then that for placeholder to dodge and then do this. Some more detail about the environment and feeling of characters while in combat could be helpful. This of course could be the result of translation but I’m not entirely sure. And in regards to plot I’m liking it so far, there’s plenty of developments to be made and scenes to take place. I’m especially intrigued about Isaac and his ability, it seems fascinating and I’m curious of its uses later. The only thing I dislike about the story is the one section of Ludwin beating Nephis easily and clobbering her, only to be said that he wasn’t mentioned in the original series. Sunny was watching the fights with the shadows so the notion of the nephis being something higher then himself and unreachable would basically be shattered by that being cannon, along with sunny just not watching nephis get destroyed by someone who might be his enemy in the future, after all he never really trusted anyone at that time. That’s just genral feedback I have, if I’d dislike the novel I would of made it shorter and more concise, but it’s an intriguing read with plenty of potential, and it’s earned my respect enough to make time out of my day to write this. I’ll read the rest of the chapters tomorrow. Thank you for your dedication and passion shown in this book.
