Kapitel 55: Failed first night

I got up from his lap and watched him as he listened to someone speaking over the phone.

"How did she fall in the bathroom? Oh my ... Alright, I'll be there!" he said anxiously, ending the call and looking at me.

"Who fell in the bathroom?" I asked.

"My mom," he replied worriedly, fear and confusion evident in his hazel eyes. "I'm sorry ... I can't continue ..."

"It's okay," I said before he finished, understanding that he didn't want me to be disappointed because our first night had to be postponed. "Your mother is the most important, we need to go see her," I added while holding his shoulder.

"We?"

"Yes, of course we." I frowned. "I want to see how she is ... After all, she is my mother-in-law."
