"I apologise, Linqin, my friends aren't in the best of mood. It's nice to--"
Linqin stepped forward to grab Cecil's hand, shaking it hastily.
Cecil furrowed her eyebrows at Linqin, but she was only shaking her hand more and more, not releasing it.
"Pretend you don't know me," Linqin said through gritted teeth, her tone menacing. "For both of our sakes."
"...it's great to finally meet you," Cecil fixed her words immediately, faking her smile. "Yun told us a lot about how gracious you are."
Linqin twisted her face at Cecil's words.
Cecil was obviously being sarcastic, and only Linqin, Xue and Hana knew that.
"Yes..." Linqin shook Cecil's hand harder, both of their bodies swaying along to the movement. "It's an honour."
"Thank you for such a warm welcome."
"It's our pleasure."
"You're too kind."
"Haha."
"Haha."
