Kapitel 143: Mom is going to die

Zaya opened the door, and before she could even greet the visitor, my sister Clara barged in, her face streaked with tears. I knew those tears well; they were the same crocodile tears she used to manipulate everyone around her. Clara's presence was like a dark cloud looming over the room, and I felt my chest tighten with a mix of anger and dread.

"Clara?" I said, my voice filled with surprise and a hint of bitterness. "What are you doing here?"

She ignored my question, throwing herself dramatically onto the couch. "Elena, my life has been a disaster since you left," she wailed, her voice trembling. "Daniel left me, and it's all your fault!"

I crossed my arms, feeling a surge of anger. "My fault? Clara, you were the one who betrayed me. You and Daniel. How is any of this my fault?"

Zaya stood nearby, her eyes narrowing as she watched Clara's theatrics. "Should I give you two some privacy?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
