I kicked Zak's leg where she couldn't see me doing it and gave him the 'do not fuck with me glare'. He sighed long and hard like I was disturbing his peace or some shit.

"Shh." I almost knocked him out the damn chair. And when she looked back and forth between the two of us I had to smile and pretend I didn't want to wring her father's damn neck for being an ass.
