Kapitel 1: Background

In the year 3018, Gusion Paxley stepped into the Land of Dawn for the first time, after leaving the Paxley Household. After a few months, he had finally reached the Moniyan Empire. He applied for a job as "hero". He made lots of friends, such as the Demon Hunter Alucard, the Time Traveler Harith, and even the Blade Dancer Fanny.

In June 5, 3018, during the Battle Royale Tournament, he met Lesley Vance, a fearless sniper who would fight for her life. Ranking #3 alongside Alucard and Harith, Gusion was awarded the "Most Kills Award" with 17 kills and 4 assists in total. After the tournament, Lesley and Gusion became best friends. They would go grinding for materials, killing monsters, and even train together.

They had become known as "Rifle and Sword Connection" because of their skill and coordination when they fight alongside. Being competitive and fearless, they joined MSC 3018, alongside the Thorned Rose Lancelot, King Tigreal, and Kagura, a top student of the Tokyo Mage Academy. They fought representing the Moniyan Empire as "Moniyan Dominators" where they were easily defeated by Neon Knights in the qualifiers.

After a few months Gusion and Lesley were staying in their barracks until someone knocked in their door.
