Kapitel 51: Lana Krauser

The night sky was full of stars, the white full moon illuminated a large palace.

On a special room, three figures could be seen with worried faces while looking at a single place.

At some point, black fog started covering that place and from it surged a figure.

"Brother..."

"How did you disappear like that... was that... him?"

They started speaking at the figure that came out from the fog as it disappeared.

"He...he... BUAHAHA you are dying to know! aren't you old man?! BUAHAHA" Cynbel laughed and pointed his finger at the figure in the center.

It was a seven meters tall werewolf with silver fur. A vein bulged out on his forehead and a savage aura came out from him, Cynbel fell on his legs.

"Ouuw ouuuw alright alright stop, yes it was him" Cynbel said pitifully, his father's divine might was something he couldn't resist.

The silver werewolf grinned before saying "Who is him, where is him?"

"Do you want to know? I'm sure you want to buahaouuwwww ouwww" Cynbel tried to be mysterious but his father didn't have the patience for that.

"I'm sure he is in vampire territory or very close to it... but I don't know where... he is with the Krauser girl now" Cynbel explained.

"I see... with the two of them, the Krauser family's power..." The silver wolf, Alarick, muttered with complex emotions on his face.

The other two werewolves at his side also understood their situation.

"Ha..haha... BUAHAHAHA" Cynbel couldn't help but laugh again which earned a frown from the three of them.

"That is where you are mistaken. He didn't capture her... because he is not a Krauser! He is a Human! BUAHAHA" Cynbel words shocked them, Alarick eyes flashed with understanding.

"I see... I understand now... BUAHAHAHA" Alarick also broke into laughter, he even wiggled his tail a little.

-

A few moments ago.

"Would you follow me?" Leroy asked. To him, recruiting her would be the best choice. He ignored the werewolf laughter and keep staring at her.

The girl also looked at him, with hesitation in her eyes. She didn't know this... human, it didn't seem like he came to rescue her. But he somehow summoned a werewolf of royal lineage.

She certainly didn't expect to one day consider following a human... but she had little choice, she had come here to recover from her wounds but was discovered by Igor and injured even further.

Seeing her hesitation, Cynbel stopped laughing and said "It's not a bad idea, he is probably the only one that won't consider you a threat"

The girl closed her eyes and nodded.

Leroy was about to destroy the array and chains but Cynbel was faster than him.

The girl was not only free but she also regained the blood essence that she lost.

"Good. Take this... Krauser girl" Cynbel said and took out a with red and white flower.

Her body trembled when he recognized the flower, she could recover her wounds with this. However, she didn't take it and looked at his eyes instead.

"Just consider it a favor from my family" Cynbel said with a smile.

The girl nodded and took it. She would find a chance to repay him later.

"You have to be careful, Leroy... that thing inside you can get you many enemies here. Most may have forgotten him, but the powerful families wouldn't, specifically the Krauser family. After all, Vlaric Krauser was exiled from their family at a young age..."

Cynbel said before disappearing as the summon duration ended.

'I guess I owe you a favor...' Leroy looked at her girl and nodded "I'm Leroy. What is your name?"

He naturally could see her name but he thought it was better to see if he could take some words out of her.

"Lana..." The girl replied in a low voice.

"I see, take your time to recover first, Lana" Leroy said and walked to the loot that the vampire left behind.

There were at least a hundred items, Leroy just called a few knights and they quickly sorted out the items.

Leroy first took the materials, then 20 master rank potions and 4 grandmaster rank ones.

There was also a fragment for a master potion recipe.

He also obtained nineteen pieces of equipment, a fragmented legendary rank pants for rangers, two epic rank equipment, a necklace for assassins while the other one a cloak that he immediately equipped.

[Cloak of Carnage] (Epic Rank)

Level: 50 - 130 (54)

Blood curse: Enemies in an area of ten meters have their hp recovery and hearing effects reduced in half.

Active skill:

Spirit of Carnage: After killing 100 enemies, increases damage by 5%. Stackable three times.

Not the best equipment out there, but still better than the one he was using.

Leroy checked three Tier 2 skill books and smiled, he picked one and learned it immediately.

Corpse Explosion (Active)

Explodes three corpses and deals damage in an area of five meters from the corpses.

Deals damage equal to 40% of corpses max health.

Doesn't work with spirit type targets.

Cooldown: 5 minutes.

This was one of those spells that he had searched for a while already.

Among the loot, there were two Elemental Treasure Chest, three Seven Luminaries Treasure Chest, and an Epic Rank Treasure Chest.

He was surprised by the appearance of the epic rank chest, they were too rare. But when thinking that the other chests had a similar value, he didn't find it surprising.

He didn't waste his luck buffs and immediately opened the chest.

This time, he only found a single item, a ring to be precise.

Fate Ring (Fragmented Legendary)

All attributes +80

Active Skill:

Destiny Direction: Can affect destiny.

Cost: 1 unit of Seven Luminaries Crystal

Leroy frowned, the price of seven luminaries crystal was constantly rising. The ring despite being of fragmented legendary rank had attributes of a common epic item.

The description of the ring didn't say much, Leroy equipped the item and the mana in an area of 20 meters increased greatly in density.

But there was nothing more than that, he decided to put it in a bank until he could figure out how it works.

Leroy couldn't help but think that he just wasted a precious treasure chest. The drops didn't seem great either, but at least he obtained a Mythic Rank essence. He wasn't capable of refining an essence of that rank into undead essence with his refining technique.

He looked at Lana who was still recovering and sit down while exploring the area outside through the raven.

He started checking thing and found that now Sage Town has annexed another town now.

He read the popular threads in the forums for a while at the same time that he explored the necropolis ruins.

After a couple of hours and not finding anything, he could only return to the throne room.

Lana seemed recovered she stood up when he entered.

"Are you ready?. We should leave before they send someone else" Leroy said.

He noticed that she was now a Level 60 Tier 3 Royal Vampire, the aura that she released wasn't weaker than Igor's.

He expected her to become his Personal Guard but it seemed that convincing her would be very difficult. At least she agreed to follow him, she would let her live in Sage Town and hope to convince her in the future.

When he first arrived here, he obtained some reputation with the undead, now he barely obtained some after capturing Dry Wood Town.

He wondered if that was a because of the quest back then but it was much harder to obtain reputation now.

Maybe if he gained reputation points with vampires, he could convince her?

"Yes" Lana nodded and said, this time with more confidence behind her words.

Both of them left the palace, Leroy summoned the serpent. Lana summoned a beast that had thee characteristics of many felines, Leroy had the feeling that it was also an epic mount.

They traveled side by side to Sage Town.

"Lana, do you happen to know what a Fate Ring is?" Leroy asked on the way.

"It's said that they have the ability to affect destiny and give its user big opportunities in rare occasions, not many of them have been found" Lana replied.

Leroy was happy that at least she knew something about it although it wasn't of much help.

With small conversations, they got to know each other a bit more.

He wasn't surprised that she was being hunted by her family, at some point her bloodline awakened and it made even the head of the Krauser family feel that her bloodline could suppress his.

For her who wasn't a direct descendant to have such a powerful bloodline was something that others could not stand.

Rumors spread through other vampire families even to royal families of other races.

She barely managed to escape with heavy injuries.

Most of that Leroy has already predicted but it was good that she told him. She wasn't a young-looking old vampire, she was really young.

Time passed quickly until they arrived at Sage Town, they were no longer so distant now and would speak more often, she just passed through a lot of things.

At the chief mansion, Lucian received them.

"Greetings Master" Lucian said and bowed. Only after that did he look at who was with Leroy.

"K-Krauser..." Lucian found it a bit difficult to speak. What was she doing here?

"She'll be with us now. Find her a room first" Leroy said with amusement.

With she here, the town would be much safer unless someone managed to recognize her and report it.

Although Lucian was very capable, his strength wasn't in combat but in managing.

After the matter of her room was settled, the three of them gathered.

"So, what do you think of my idea, Lucian?" Leroy said.

"I think that master's idea of building a city from scratch in a better location makes sense, I have a place in mind near the sea, not far from here so we won't abandon Sage Town. We can build a port and send exploration teams to islands rich in resources." Lucian replied. It was only a matter of time before their territory increased even more so the benefits of building a city instead of upgrading a town were much higher.

Leroy could see that Lucian didn't suggest that because he didn't want to forsake Sage Town. He didn't plan on abandoning it either.

"That sounds good, how many territories are between both Sage Town and that place?" Leroy asked.

"Just a city and four towns, we can start the construction of the city now and assault that territory later to connect the territory" Lucian replied excitedly.

"We'll do that then, do not reveal that miss Lana is here and keep an eye on anyone speaking about her" Leroy said that and looked at her.

"I have matters to attend somewhere else so I'll leave for a while" Leroy said and used the scroll to return to the main continent.
