Theodora waved at Bertha, who looked displeased and helpless standing there. Gerald offered his hand for Theodora to take. She stared at it for a moment before placing her hand softly in his.

The moment their skins came in contact with each other, the memories of the last time flashed in front of her eyes. His hand was big... too big than her. His skin was rough against her soft one. His long and thick fingers curled around her hand in an iron grip, and she found her breath shuddering.

She gulped when he pulled her up and helped her to mount the horse in front of him. Her both legs dangled to left. 

"My Lady..."

"Meet me at Mr Collin's Bertha. See you later!" She smiled.

Gerald passed a glance at the maid and for some reason, he felt bad for leaving her there alone like that. If it was not for Reznor's mission, then Gerald would have probably left them both there instead of helping them.
