Kapitel 42: ONE SHOULD EARN IT!

  Gerald lay on his mattress, thinking about his morning with Theodora. Today she was quite different. She carried herself differently and more confidently than the last time. Everything about her was different, or was it because now that he knew more about her, his perspective had also changed with regard to her?

Gerald didn't realise when his eyes closed on their own. He was lost in his thoughts when he felt something soft jumping on his face.

"Awww! What the" The words stuck in his throat as he sat up, rubbing his hurt nose to see if he was in his hut anymore.

He glared at the man in a black cloak with a peppery beard sitting in a chair leisurely eating an apple. His anger boiled, even more, when he realised what exactly jumped on his face.

"This despicable creature!" Gerald seethed and launched at the ball of black fur. But Muffy slipped out of his trap and jumped straight in Reznor's lap.
