Kapitel 31: Head of the Bloom Family
Coming back to her senses, Loraine still felt that she was in a state of shock. Looking at Jenny she opened up her mouth, yet no words came out. Seeing the situation and understanding the importance, Kara stepped up. She took the arm of Loraine and started to drag her with her, "Let's go! We cannot waste any time here thinking about it!"
Now that Loraine was being pulled, she was able to speak again. She looked at Kara as she asked, "Why are you coming with us?"
Looking back at Loraine with a smile Kara replied, "Of course, I will come with you! Aren't we friend! I have to support you at a moment like this."
With those words, Loraine accepted her proposal and walked with a quick phase to her house. Still trying to keep her elegant and noble status, she refused to run. Therefore the quick phased steps still looked elegant when seen from the outside.

As the girls made it to the mansion, Loraine started get a heavy feeling in her heart. All the time during their way back, she kept wondering how her father did do something like this to her. Standing in front of the door, Loraine steadied her resolve. With a rather angry emotion, she opened up the door. As Loraine stepped into the mansion she spoke up with a loud shout, "Father! Where are you!? How dare you do something like this!?"
Hearing these loud and angry shouts, many of the workers came rushing over to the main hall as they looked towards Loraine. From the faces of them, it was clear that they understood why Loraine was angry. Many had a sad face, seeing that their beloved Loraine was being forced into a marriage by the family.
Above the main stairs, the door opened up, as a middle aged man stepped out. His black short hair looked recently cut. With an elegant goatee, his face had a stern look. Being well dressed, it was clear that he is someone of a high position. As he looked down from above the stairs, his eyes locked with those of Loraine. There was a powerful aura surrounding him, as he started to step forward.
Walking down the stairs, he never broke eye contact with Loraine. Passing by the works, all of them bowed down to the head of the Bloom Family. It was clear that the workers did this not only because he was the head of the family, but also because they had respect for him. As Loraine's father stood in front of Loraine, he opened his mouth. With a deep voce he addressed Loraine, "Dear daughter. I assume that Jenny brought you the news. Given your behavior, you are definitely in favor with this decision and I understand this. However, I would ask you to calm down and come with me to my study. We can continue this conversation there."
Hearing these words, Loraine could not help herself but reply angrily, "Calm down?! You ask me too calm down?! How could I do that?! Tell me… How can I calm down?!"
Without a twitch on his face, Loraine's father replied on a professional tone, "I understand how you feel. Therefore I ask you again, to follow me and come with me to my study. I will explain you everything." With that, he did not wait for any reply and turned back walking up the stairs.
Looking at his back, Loraine felt powerless. She could not do anything right now. Even if she voiced her anger, it was in vain. With anger consuming her heart, she powerlessly followed her father up the stairs.
