Kapitel 75: CHAPTER 73: BATTLING RANKERS
The two fights that the siblings had were shown all over the Zion gaming platforms and pro players were taken aback. All of them had one question on their minds.
'Who are they?' Two powerful players appeared and the first thing they did was take down four rankers.
Although they weren't that high up in the ranks, they were still in the top five hundreds. And there were tens of thousands of gold ranked mages and a few thousand of them played the game, so the top five hundred players were incredibly difficult to beat among mages of the same rank. But Gideon and Victoria had done it with relative ease.
The information immediately reached those at the higher ranks and those who weren't ranked that much higher than the previous combatants felt their positions were threatened.
"Should we challenge stronger people?" Victoria said while tilting her head slightly. They had two hours, but both of he fights didn't take longer that ten minutes.
"I don't see why not. We haven't really found many chances to properly use the techniques we learnt." Gideon answered and was about to see the list of challengers when the two of them suddenly received a notification.
[Deathman(478) and Seeker(477) wish to challenge you. Do you accept?] The two of them saw the message and noticed the numbers beside their names.
'Must be their ranks.' Gideon thought before pressing accept.
The moment he did, two players appeared in the arena. Deathman was a fiery red demon with a spear while seeker was a human female with light green hair and a longbow in her hands.
"So you two are the ones that are speed running the ranks huh?" Deathman asked while rubbing his chin.
"I guess." Gideon simply shrugged.
"Well, that ends here." Seeker said softly as she summoned a wind arrow and drew it on her bow.
"You can try." Victoria said while shrugging as well which caused some annoyance between their opponents.
The countdown eventually ended and Deathman charged forward while Seeker retreated quickly, at the same time fire three wind arrows in quick succession.
The arrows passed by Deathman while spinning with incredible speed and force, so much so that they began to generate small tornadoes.
However, Victoria simply stepped forward and punched forward. The strength behind the punch generated a wind cannon that met with the arrows and made them go off course. It was also at this moment that Deathman reached the two of them and thrusted his spear forward.
The tip of the spear was covered in flames which then morphed into a fire bird that caused searing heat and the temperature of the arena rose by a few degrees.
Victoria had activated her purple empress mode and created two dragon claws and layered the talons before clawing at the fire bird.All of this happening in less than a second.
*BOOOOOOM*
A pressure wave passed through the arena and hit the barrier as orange red flames and purple aquafire spewed out from the point of impact.
'Her physical strength is incredible!' Deathman thought as he could feel Victoria slowly pushing him back.
He promptly made a decision and immediately, his spear began to spin like a drill making it difficult for Victoria to clash with properly.
But then, she suddenly tilted her body backwards allowing the spear to pass over a small frame. She then performed a quick backflip and kicked the spear upwards in the process causing it to nearly fly out of Deathman's grip.
This caused him to be wide open and Victoria was about to dash back in but then suddenly, her body blurred and turned into a purple flash as a barrage of wind arrows descended from the air aiming to skewer her. Seeker saving her partner from his predicament.
Victoria went back to Gideon's side unharmed and the two sides stared each other down. The crowd that had filled up the stands were amazed by the first exchange and cheered loudly.
Gideon who had been spinning his daggers all this while suddenly swing them forward unleashing two bright green poison wheels that carried with them scary sharpness.
One headed for Deathman while the other went after Seeker. Deathman waved his hand and then dozens of fire spears materialized around him before firing at the poison wheel.
Seeker on the other hand pulled her bow back fully before releasing an arrow that travelled far faster and carried much more strength that the previous ones.
All the different attacks met generating powerful explosions which stirred up a lot of dust. Deathman and Seeker let the dust clear only to see that Gideon was missing.
Dangers signals suddenly rang in Seeker's brain and she ducked her head down, Gideon's daggers slicing off a portion of her hair.
She immediately leaped back to create distance between herself and Gideon. But Gideon didn't allowed that and gave chase.
Seeker sent dozens of arrows, some from her bow and others simply created. But every arrow passed through an afterimage, Gideon's mirage step making him incredibly difficult to hit.
Meanwhile, Deathman and Victoria where going at it as both o their bodies blurred, one red one purple. They exchanged numerous blows each second creating countless craters in the arena.
Deathman used his spear expertly and aimed at all of Victoria's vitals and struck at awkward positions.
Victoria on the other hand used her overwhelming strength to unleash terrifying blows, Deathman had to deflect most of the hits and the ones he blocked directly left his arms aching.
Then at some point, a small amount of distance appeared between the two of them and they immediately used their abilities. A lotus made of flames appeared around the spear tip of Deathman's spear while a purple dragon head engulfed Victoria's fist.
Both of them charged at each other and clashed once again.
*BOOOOOOM*
Another massive shockwave erupted and the whole arena shook furiously.
While the explosion was happening however, Seeker decided to use the wind to anticipate where Gideon was going to strike, yet his speed still made it very difficult to hit him.
And then suddenly, Gideon's eyes flashed green and Seeker had accidentally looked into his eyes at that moment.
Pain assaulted her mind and she blanked out, and due to her moving previously, she tumbled on the ground painfully.
She regained consciousness half a second later, but the Gideon's daggers were already aiming to behead her.
