Kapitel 64: CHAPTER 62: ANTI-MAGIC DOMAIN
Victoria soon regained consciousness and immediately began sulking.
"Hey, are you alright?" Despite knowing the answer to that question, Gideon still asked regardless.
"No, it's fine." Victoria replied unconvincingly causing Gideon to shake his head.
"Lisk, return." He gave the order and Lisk immediately went back into his inventory, leaving the two siblings alone to heal.
"What's on your mind?" Despite having a few guesses, Gideon still asked her what was wrong to be sure and come up with a solution.
Victoria hugged her knees close to her chest while ignoring her injuries and after some hesitation, decided to answer.
"I keep telling myself that I'll catch up to you so that I'll be more useful. But not only have I not done that despite creating the aquafire, your pet beast is also stronger than me, and I started my training before it. At this rate, won't I just become useless?" Victoria asked with her gaze turning dim.
Gideon studied her face for some time before sighing and putting his hand on her head.
"I see what you mean. Pretty much all of that was a blow to your confidence and you're developing an inferiority complex due to that. But did you know that the only reason Lisk is stronger than you is because when it was born, it was much stronger than even my younger self. It's a monster, so it's more powerful than humans at the same rank. Yet not only did you actually go toe to toe with it, it was actually a close Victoria at the end, and yet, you are a whole rank below." Gideon's words made her look up at him in surprise.
"Wait what?!" She was shocked when she heard that Lisk was already stronger than Gideon's younger self.
"That's right, The only reason I'm stronger than Lisk currently is because I started my training earlier, otherwise, it'd be stronger than me. But what's even more amazing is that you were actually close to winning that fight. I reckon you only lost due to being caught in the trap. So don't doubt yourself and just keep up with your training, who knows, you might get stronger than me in the future as well." Gideon continued rubbing her head as he encouraged her.
She immediately forgot all the depression in her heart and smiled faintly.
"Alright."

"You two keep improving each time we meet." Sia said with a hint of envy as her tails swayed at her back, causing the siblings to shrug.
"Well hurry up and take them, I don't want my sleep to be interrupted." Draven said with annoyance, clearly, he was still a bit pissed off about loosing his sleep.
"Alright alright. See you later." Sia gave a short wave before covering the siblings with her magic and all three of them disappeared.
And as for Draven, he went back into his house, and slept.
The trio very quickly reappeared at the clearing they usually trained at and Sia looked at them with a hint of seriousness.
"We'll be alternating between learning runes and magic circle with the technique I'm about to teach you two, so this time, I'll be teaching you guys the technique." Sia gave a brief explanation and the siblings nodded.
Immediately after, Sia stretched out her hand and opened her palm, and immediately after, a very bright orange orb appeared over it.
"Don't resist." She instructed, and then, the orb suddenly began to expand rapidly and very quickly went by the siblings and only stopped after becoming an orange dome fifty meters in diameter.
"Can you two feel it?" Sia asked and the duo were confused for a moment before they realized the problem. There was no astral energy.
"What the?" Gideon and Victoria immediately became very confused as even their astral cores were unable to draw any energy from the surroundings.
"This is what I call an anti-magic domain. As the name implies, it's able to totally rid an area of any astral energy, forcing fighters to use only their reserves. And yes, the creator of the domain can still use magic." Sia gave a brief explanation and the siblings immediately understood, but they were no less amazed.
In essence, it's a space whereby only the creator of the domain can use magic, or at least replenish their own energy while the opponent will slowly get more and more tired. A terrifying technique that can be used on anyone.
"However, it's as difficult to master as it is incredible. In order to actually create the domain, you aren't using any spells of the sort, instead, you are simply gathering a large amount of astral energy that corresponds with your element and spread it out in a dome, pushing away all other elements and leaving only yours." The moment Sia said that, the siblings discovered a problem.
"So doesn't that mean that if you're fighting someone with the same element, then they'll still be able to use magic?" Victoria asked and Sia nodded.
"That's right, the only way to rectify this is if you completely clear out all the astral energy, including the one for your element. But unless you're sure that your energy capacity is higher than your opponent's, then it's not viable. However, it's still a good technique to learn since there will be tons of opponents who don't use the same element as you." Hearing this, the siblings found that is was reasonable, so the lesson continued.
"Now, well, you won't actually be able to learn the technique straight away since you two lack a very important ability. The ability to control astral energy freely." Sia said outright causing the siblings to from slightly.
Indeed, they could only absorb astral energy into their bodies before drawing it out and shaping it into whatever they wanted. But in the process of absorption, their bodies would purified the astral energy and make it safe for use, as raw astral energy from the surroundings was potentially dangerous for the body.
"So yeah, before we can even start doing anything, you two need to learn how to control the astral energy in the surroundings freely." As she was saying this, clumps of orange astral energy formed balls all around them.
"So how do we learn this?" Gideon asked eagerly, naturally, he was up for the challenge.
Seeing the enthusiasm, Sia chuckled inwardly. Even if they learnt the technique faster than her, it would take them a year at most to truly master it. If the ordeal of absorbing astral energy while moving was a ten, then straight up controlling it would be ten thousand.
