The crowd sat in silence while Sarah and Lloyd's bodies trembled. The last words of Gideon reverberating in their minds over and over again.
We hate you
Their legs became weak and they both collapsed on the floor.
"Fuck."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gideon and Victoria slowly opened their eyes as the brightness subsided. They soon found themselves standing in a dark cave.
Gideon took deep breaths to calm himself from the previous situation and observed his surroundings. He realized that the cave wasn't completely dark and there were dim crystals on its edges that gave off a faint light.
Victoria dragged his shirt and looked at him. Although she didn't say anything, her eyes said it all. Where were they.
<You've arrived.> A deep voice entered their ears starting them both and causing them to tense up.
<Don't worry, I'm the one that agreed to Earth's request.> Hearing this, They both relaxed.
"You're Zion?" Gideon asked and the voice, Zion confirmed his thought.
"Where are we?" Victoria spoke up after forcefully putting everything that just happened at the back of her mind.
<You're in a cave in territory that's relatively left untouched by the other races. The ones to train you will be arriving shortly.> Zion replied.
"Train us huh?" Gideon muttered as he let the fact that he was in another world finally sink in. And he couldn't help but feel excited. Although humankind had already guessed that there would be other life forms in the universe, they had never really come in contact them.
Gideon was still a youth, so he still couldn't help but feel eager. We're the ancient humans correct about how the other races would look? Who were the top powers? How strong were they?
<I'm a few times larger than earth, so I'm able to produce more powerhouses. But even though I have enough life force to produce someone of the same rank as the oncoming enemy, none of the people I speak of are close to that level of strength, so we're betting everything on you.> Zion explained and Gideon and Victoria nodded.
All of a sudden, five insane auras approached them at high speeds. And even though the auras weren't directed at them, they found it difficult to breath nonetheless.
'These guys, they could all kill Sarah with a slap.' Gideon concluded as he instinctively put himself in front of Victoria.
"What do we have here?" A voice boomed inside the cave and Gideon shivered.
The auras got closer and Gideon heard footsteps approaching them. Even though he knew that these people weren't going to harm him, his body reacted on instinct as he summoned both of his daggers and entered a fighting stance.
"Oh, I think we scared him, no need to be scared young one." Gideon's pupils constricted and his chin had been lifted and the face of a very beautiful woman was observing him.
She had orange eyes with vertical pupils, fair skin and orange hair. Gideon could also see her canines protruding from her mouth.
"Stop playing Sia, this is serious." A low voice sounded and the woman, Sia smiled faintly before letting go of Gideon's chin and vanished before reappearing a few meters backwards. And four people stood by her side.
Gideon realized that Sia had a pair of orange fox ears on her head and three fluffy orange fox tails with white tips swayed silently behind her. Aside from that, she had a perfect figure with fair skin and gave of a charm that could attract most men. Her fox features seemed to give her a sort of mysterious beauty. She also wore a simple white dress that left her fair shoulders bare.
His gaze shifted to the rest of the people by her side. The outermost person was a large and bulky male with dark purple skin and he was nearing 3 meters tall so he could be considered huge. His face was handsome in a wild way and a pair of purple horns were on his fore head. He wore heavy armour and a huge great sword was slung on his back.
The second person, right next to Sia was a person who's build could be considered the opposite of the previous man. He had a lean figure simar to Gideon and despite looking straight at him, Gideon couldn't actually sense his presence. He wore a black cloak that and mask that completely covered his facial features and only showed his deep blue eyes.
Moving on, the person on Sia's other side could only be described as a rock person. It had no facial features and its body was made entirely of a type of rock that Gideon and Victoria had never seen before.
The last person is what the ancient humans referred to as an elf. Similar to Sia, she had a voluptuous figure and she had long green hair that cascaded down her back like a water fall.
She had pointed ears and green eyes that fit perfectly with her face. She wore a set of light green armor that hugged her curves tightly and an exquisite longbow was slung around her shoulder.
"Now that you've finished checking us out, allow me to introduce ourselves. I'm Baal, the current ruler of the demon kingdom. This guy next to me is Draven, the best assassin on the planet. Sia is the ruler of beasts. That rock guy is Teran and he is a terra elemental. And lastly, that woman there is Lin, Queen of the elves."The huge guy Baal finished and Gideon and Victoria gulped. These guys were some of the strongest people on this world.
"What's your name kid?" Draven said in his low tone snapping Gideon out of his stupor.
"My new is Gideon Kingston, this is my sister Vic Kingston." Gideon introduced and stiffly bowed since he was unaware of how to act around these people.
"It's our honor to meet you're acquaintance." Victoria surprisingly followed up and said politely.
When the five powerhouses saw, they look at each other and bursted out laughing. Gideon and Victoria undoubtedly felt embarrassed but they didn't show it.
Baal walked over and patted Gideon on his shoulder causing him to almost fall.
"Loosen up you two, it's not like we're gonna eat you." Baal said before stepping back.
"Yeah, besides if you're both as talented as our worlds say you are then you two will soon be our equals, so no need to be so respectful." Lin said with a faint smile while Teran nodded.
"We should probably go somewhere else, this place is too small and our guests need to settle down. They just came from another world after all." Sia said with a smile and before Gideon and Victoria could react, their vision twisted and the next thing they knew, they were on top of a mountain that was part of a huge mountain range that went as far as the eye could see.
At the bottom of the mountains were forests that similarly stretched on as far as the eyes could see.
Gideon and Victoria were still disoriented before they suddenly found themselves inside a dining hall and they were sitting down. They regained their senses when the aroma of delicious food entered their noses.
"So, tell us about your world." Sia, who seemed to be the most easygoing person asked as she rested her cheek on her palm. The others also waiting patiently for their response.
"Oh, well, a few centuries ago. Astral energy descended on earth and all the animals and plants mutated into beasts while humans gained the ability to use magic. So after a bitter war, humans finally managed to gain a solid footing and started to develop from there. From what our worlds say, earth is severely lacking in powerhouses since it gained astral energy relatively late so it's still developing." Gideon summarized and the powerhouses nodded.
"Seems like astral energy is the universal name we all use." Draven concluded as the name of this strange energy was somehow the same on both worlds.
"Indeed, anyway our world as you mentioned has been developing longer than yours so it's natural that this gap exists." Lin said while stretching her body which pronounced her figure.
"Anyway, we'll begin your training tomorrow, we'll also take you to our respective territories and will train you for five days before giving you to the next person. We'll repeat this cycle until the 8 years are done." Sia explained.
Hearing this, Gideon stood up and gave a bow. Compared to his previous one, this one was filled with gratitude from the bottom of his heart.
"Thank you for taking out of your important time to train me man's my sister. I thank you on the behalf of earth and its inhabitants as well." The five people couldn't help but smile, apart from Teran anyway.
"Don't worry about it, we agreed for a reason. Just promise that you'll help us in the future if needed." Lin said while waving her hand.
"Of course." Gideon and Victoria said in unison.
"Now go get some sleep, you're training will begin tomorrow and it will not be easy." Teran said seriously, well about as serious as rock person could be.
"No problem." The two of them once again replied. After being Directed to their rooms that were simple but had a homey feel. They both went to sleep while thinking of what the future had in stall for them.
