Chapter 27: The First Step

Secret realms.

For many years, humans have tried to explain their existence, coming up with various theories, many that seemed plausible, and many more which did not.

Some speculated that they were the lands that existed beyond the Rifts.

Some said they were worlds created by the remains of an all powerful existence.

Regardless of what they were, it didn't stop those powerful enough to take them for their own. Some of these secret realms possessed a load of resources, which were so valuable, even the Terra Federation couldn't take their eyes off of them.

These pockets of space however, were not so easy to find as the people who knew of their existence made it out to be. Unless a rift opened, the only way to enter a secret realms were through gateways known as Nodes.

Nodes, or vector threads, as they were called were points in cross dimensional space where a secret realm intersected with Earth.
