96% Rise of the Dragon Shaman / Chapter 24: Don't Mess with the Wrong Guy

Kapitel 24: Don't Mess with the Wrong Guy

As I stumbled back to the lobby, adrenaline still coursing through my veins, I relished the chance to catch my breath and process the epic battle that had just taken place. The clash of abilities between myself and my classmates had been exhilarating, and I couldn't wait to see what else lay ahead.

As luck would have it, the university was broadcasting the event for internal purposes, and I couldn't resist tuning in. As I watched, my heart rate skyrocketed as I realized that there were a handful of skilled individuals from different classes and departments. The thought of facing off against these formidable foes both thrilled and intimidated me.

But I was determined to rise to the challenge. With each passing match, my excitement grew, and the shivers down my spine turned into a fierce determination to succeed. I knew that this experience would be unforgettable, and I was ready to give it my all.

As I sat in the lobby, watching the other students' fights, I suddenly felt a sense of danger closing in. Before I could react, a familiar group of bullies appeared, blocking my way with their menacing stares.

"Look who we have here," sneered one of them, a smirk on his face. "It's the weakling who couldn't even control his aura and still tried to defend a girl!"

The others laughed, jeering at me and making me feel small.

"What do you want?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Isn't it obvious?" said another, stepping forward to get in my face. "We want to see if you've learned anything since the last time we humiliated you."

I could feel my blood boiling. I had worked hard to improve my skills since that day, and I wasn't about to let them push me around again.

"Bring it on," I growled, cracking my knuckles. "I'm not the same person I was before."

The bullies exchanged glances, clearly taken aback by my sudden bravado.

"Well, well, look at you," said the ringleader, his eyes narrowing. "Maybe you're not as much of a pushover as we thought."

I stood my ground, ready to face whatever came my way. I wasn't going to let them get the best of me this time.

The lobby erupted with power as me and the bullies unleashed our auras, causing the ground to tremble beneath our feet. By-stander students scrambled to call for instructors, but it was too late.

The leader stepped forward, his eyes blazing with hatred. "I've been waiting for this moment," he growled. "You and I have unfinished business."

I tensed, ready to defend myself. But before I could react, he raised his hand, halting his lackeys from attacking.

"Not now," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "I have bigger plans for you. Plans that involve crushing you in front of everyone, including your precious Maria."

He leaned in closer, his hot breath on my neck. "You won't see it coming," he whispered. "But mark my words, it's going to be glorious."

With that, he turned and strode away, his minions following in tow. As the instructors arrived on the scene, I tried to play it cool.

"Just a little friendly competition," I said, trying to hide the fear in my voice. "We'll settle it in the ring."

But deep down, I knew that the stakes had just been raised. The bullies weren't playing games anymore. And neither was I.

As my name was called to step onto the platform, I felt a sense of nervous anticipation wash over me. I knew I had trained hard for this moment, but the taunts from the lackey standing opposite me were making it hard to keep my focus. His insults were directed not only at me, but at the girl I had defended during the training. I could feel my blood boiling with anger and frustration.

"It would be better if she actually defeated you and fought me next," he said, his voice laced with a lecherous grin. "I swear I could have torn her clothes off during our fight and subjugate her afterwards."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How could someone talk about assaulting a woman in such a casual manner? My fists clenched involuntarily, my nails digging into my palms. I had to say something before I did something I would regret.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I spat out, my voice seething with fury. "You think it's funny to talk about assaulting women? You're sick."

The lackey's grin faltered slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "Come on, it's just a joke. Can't you take a little ribbing?"

"A joke?" I said incredulously. "That's not a joke, it's disgusting. And you're not even man enough to fight your own battles, you have to rely on cheap shots and intimidation to win."

The lackey's face twisted in anger. "You wanna go, tough guy? I'll take you down right now."

I stepped forward, my body tense and ready for a fight. "Bring it on," I growled. "I've been waiting for this."

As we circled each other, I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins. This was the moment I had been training for. I was determined to show this guy that you don't mess with the wrong person.

I channeled all the energy within me, intensifying my aura to a level that could not be ignored. The air around me crackled with electricity as I prepared to strike. With every fiber of my being, I focused on the target, visualizing the moment of impact.

As the bell rang, I exploded forward, closing the distance with lightning speed. My opponent's eyes widened in fear as my intense killing intent enveloped him like a snake, coiling tightly around his body and immobilizing him with terror. In that moment, I knew that victory was within my grasp.

The instructors scrambled to intervene, but it was too late. I was already committed to my attack. My hands, charged with my intense aura, hovered over his solar plexus, ready to deliver the crushing blow that would end the fight.

But just as I was about to strike, I pulled back, holding back the full force of my power. I wanted to make him suffer, but I knew that breaking his core was not an option. Instead, I released a wave of aura that sent him reeling backward, gasping for air.

As the dust settled, I stood over my defeated opponent, my aura still crackling with power. It was a warning to all who would oppose me, a reminder that I was not to be trifled with. And with that, I walked away, ready to face whatever challenge lay ahead.
