Kapitel 85: The Black Cat, Part Twenty

{Zenith}

"Alright, the first of many," Zenith said, walking through a portal. "The Cursed Swamp." 

Asuka grimaced. Murky, knee-high water and skeletons poking out of it was all they could see. 

"Lovely. Just lovely."

Emi glanced over at Zenith. 

"Zen, you wanna take the lead? You're immune to curses or something, right?" 

"Right." 

"Well," Emi shrugged, "this is the 'Cursed Swamp'. I imagine that's gonna come into play." 

"Good observation." 

"..." Emi raised a brow. "No need for the sarcasm." 

"I wasn't- whatever." 

Zenith walked forward. 

She scanned her surroundings. Enemies at this point of a dungeon, so early, was uncommon but she still wanted to be sure. 

A guttural screech echoed across the swamp, sending a flock of startled birds into the cloudy sky.

"... Hm." 

After standing there for a while longer, Zenith called out: 

"No curse here, as far as I can tell. Come on."
