Kapitel 68: The Black Cat, Part Three

{Asuka}

"Stay sharp!" Zenith called out, holding her sword out. 

Asuka positioned herself a few steps behind her, staff out and ready to cast any needed healing spells. Emi was a bit farther away, trying to find an angle on the massive troll they were taking on. 

The massive creature, blue-skinned with sparse white hairs and big tusks, slammed its club into the ground. 

Asuka lost her balance and fell on her butt. At first, she thought it was just her being clumsy, but a quick look under the enemy's level, at its mana, showed that wasn't the case.

[That was a spell!?] 

Shaking her head, Asuka tried to focus up. 

Getting to her feet, Asuka quickly moved up again, just as the troll's club fell on Zenith's body. 

If that had been Asuka or Emi, there would be nothing but a red puddle left where the club was. Instead, Zenith's body was still intact, lying on top of a web of cracks on the floor.
