Kapitel 4: Ji-soo's gift
' cling clang cling clang' the sound of swords striking against each other filled an open ground.
" Practice your balance,hold your posture, maintain control of your speed and strength while weilding your sword"
Seojun ruler of the soil and Deungdae's combat instructor stated while moving round an elevated ring with Ji-soo and Yoorim in it fighting against each other.
" Ahhh" Ji-soo yelped when she fell to the ground.
" Points to Yoorim " another boy who was standing next to a large black score board announced and indicated the scores on the board.
" Ji-soo focus " Seojun said sternly while Yoorim tried to help Ji-soo back up and settled into position.
" On Guard "
" Ready"
" Attack"
" Cling, clang, swish, swoosh "
Two minutes had gone by and none of them seemed to be backing down.
They stared intensely at each other while panting heavily like they were trying to read each other's minds with their eyes.
After catching their breaths,they charged at each other again, this time more fiercely and aggressively.
Yoorim swung her sword to attack and Ji-soo luckily dodged by a hair's breadth and before she could turn back to attack or defend herself, Yoorim was coming right at her and she instantly blocked herself with her sword.
They stayed like that for a moment with their swords right in front of their faces.
Suddenly Ji-soo's eyes lit up and turned blazing red while her sword and whole body were also engulfed with some sort of blue flame.
Everyone gasped when they saw this, Seojun's eyes grew wide,other students soon started murmuring amongst themselves.
Yoorim stood there unaware of what to make of this situation, she stepped back a bit and tried to hide the fright that swept through her, she was determined not to give up .
She looked down at her feet and began weilding her sword in a circular motion while moving it from her left to right hand and vice versa while muttering some words to herself
Her eyes turned bright yellow and so did her sword. Her hands were also covered with yellow flames.
Everyone in Deungdae knew who Yoorim was, she was one of Deungdae's best students, she was a fast learner, she was never the type to give up on anything easily and she never failed to ace any tasks she was assigned.
She lifted her sword,placing it horizontally under her eyes while trying to summon the energy In the air.
Ji-soo noticed this and immediately attacked but Yoorim was quick to dodge
Ji-soo kept attacking with a strange and stronger force that made Yoorim feel weaker each time she fought back.
The blue force field surrounding Ji-soo seemed to have gotten bigger.
" No No Enough "
" STOP !!!! Ji-soo get a hold of yourself " Seojun shouted for he feared that Ji-soo might unconsciously harm Yoorim.
She didn't look like herself at all, it was as of she was possessed by another greater power and her strength increased greatly but all his pleas fell on deaf ears.
Yoorim was using every ounce of energy she could muster but the more she tried to fight back the more stronger Ji-soo became.
When Ji-soo sensed that she was getting weak, she smirked, turned and swung her sword in a three sixty degrees angle and struck it on the floor.
A great force invisible to the eyes pushed Yoorim so hard that she landed terribly on her back with a loud cry.
Immediately Ji-soo collapsed face down to the floor.
Everyone was mesmerized by what they had seen, some wondered what manner of powers Ji-soo possessed while some feared her.
" Come help them up " Seojun ordered while attending to Yoorim.
Some other persons rushed towards them to help.
