Kapitel 26: The principal
"Go to the director's office!" the teacher yelled at Julia.
Loki saw a slight smirk on Julia's face as she walked out of the classroom. Despite Julia losing self-control because of her rage, she felt she did nothing wrong and that Sara deserved it. Why wouldn't she? In Julia's eyes, Sara knew Loki and Julia were in a relationship.
This Julia's villainous side excited Loki to the extremes. "That's my girlfriend!" he exclaimed proudly with a bright smile when a few classmates stared at him after Julia left the classroom.
His classmates could not understand why Loki was so proud that his girlfriend just tried to kill another classmate, especially when that classmate was Sara. Everyone knew Loki used to be in love with her, and the sudden change in character startled them. They whispered among themselves.
"What the hell is going on?"
"Julia kicked Sara's ass!" someone chuckled. "That's what she gets for trying to make a move on the taken guy!"
"Don't you think Julia went overboard?"
"What do you expect from a freak like her."
"A monster."
Loki ignored their comments about Julia and focused on the teacher, who was already calling him over. "I need you to go into the principal's office as well. He asked me to inform you that you cannot skip school anymore." The teacher explained with an emotionless voice."What?!" Loki almost choked after hearing that he was also invited to the principal office. In the novel, Loki learned that the principal was a mysterious and powerful Esper, and one of his abilities was to read minds. Which was a dangerous ability against Loki, who had many secrets."Is something wrong?" the teacher asked while frowning her brows. Loki shook his head while smiling and said goodbye to the teacher. He made a run for it, and when he left the classroom, he walked out of the school's building.
"See ya, suckers!"
"Bye-bye!" a childish voice behind him called out before he took a step forward. Loki turned around and saw a young girl in her early teens. Loki ignored her and walked out of the school's territory, but it startled him. "What the hell a kid is doing in our high school?" he thought loudly as he walked the streets toward the cafe.
"Why don't you ask her?" a voice behind him appeared again.
Loki stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at his back. There stood the same girl in a green long sleeve shirt. And Loki's eyes went straight from the bottom of her feet to the top of her head. She wore long brown hair and blue eyes and was relatively short.
"Why are you stalking me?" Loki frowned, not knowing who this girl was. "Who the fuck are you?"
"Aw! You're so mean! Teehee!~" the girl giggled. She looked very young and innocent. Loki did not like it at all. "It's okay; I won't tell anyone about your secret identity. Besides, no one knows about you, ROGER, except for your friends and me." she emphasised the name 'ROGER'.
"Now that I think about it, who names a boy 'Roger'? That's just stupid, you know?" she continued talking; Loki threw a punch engulfed in fire at her face, which she dodged easily and continued. "Truly, your world has such weird names."
"Screw you; at least tell your name before insulting me!" Loki showed her a middle finger. "And how the fuck do you know who I am?!"
"Oh, my bad." the girl realised that she had forgotten to introduce herself. "My name is Evelyn; I am the principal of our high school!" she smirked, waiting for Loki's reaction. However, his response was not what she expected.
Loki started laughing like crazy and even fell to his knees in front of her. Evelyn, confused, raised a brow. "Are you okay?!" she asked worriedly.
Loki kept giggling like mad, then suddenly he said, "And you make fun of my name?! Your name makes me imagine you're some sort of little green forest nymph or something." said pointing at Evelyn's body, which Evelyn was utterly shocked by what he had just said.
"You're...you're not serious?!"
Evelyn's expression was so funny that Loki laughed even more. When she took her eyes off him, Loki gathered wind mana and began to run away as fast as he could.
"But..." Evelyn tried to explain. But when she looked at Loki, he was already far away. "H-hey!"
she shouted after him. "Stop running!"
She ran up to Loki. "Where are you going? Don't just leave me alone like this!" she exclaimed angrily. "Come on! Will you leave a little girl all by herself?!" Evelyn shouted at Loki, but instead, he turned back and showed her a middle finger. "What the..." Evelyn frowned and stomped her foot. "So annoying!"
"You forced me, Loki," she muttered and disappeared. She concealed herself and even got an extreme movement speed which allowed her to catch up with Loki quickly. "teehee!~" she giggled, realising that Loki couldn't see her. She waved her hand in front of his face, but Loki continued walking without showing any reaction. Then a smirk appeared on her face as she kicked Loki's leg as he walked. "Ow!!" Loki yelled, causing Evelyn to giggle even more complex and was heard by Loki.
"I will kick your ass!" she said as they kept walking. This time, however, her smile vanished when she caught Loki looking behind his shoulder. It seemed like he sensed someone. When she looked back, she saw nothing but an alleyway, and when she turned her gaze back at Loki, he was already gone. "Huh?!"
"Hey!!!" Evelyn became visible and screamed after Loki. Then she remembered something important. "Wait! I remembered why I wanted to talk to you!" she called out. But Loki was nowhere to be seen. She huffed and closed her eyes, scanning an entire city until she found him. "Got you!" Evelyn smiled happily.
Meanwhile, Loki walked toward the cafe. When he entered it, he ordered two coffee while standing in line with other customers. A few moments later, he reached the counter and placed his order. When the customer waiting to get their order handed him the cup, Loki noticed that someone had written something on it with a pink pen. Loki looked down. It was a message. 'Found you! <3'.
Loki's eye twitched in annoyance. If he weren't in public, he would have cursed loudly right now. 'Damn that girl!'
He mentally screamed at himself. He put the cup of coffee and money on the table and saw Evelyn sitting at the other side of the table, quietly giggling. "Teehee!~"
