Kapitel 13: Ch 11: Red, Blue and Mother

In the night, once they finished their meal, Asako was washing the dishes while Yuria cleaning the table. Zircon was helping Yuria, and after a while, he started rubbing his eyes with a tired expression.

Yuria, noticing this, looked outside the window and saw that it was already dark.

"Zircon, why don't you go to sleep first?"

"But... Yaaawn... what about you?" He could barely maintain his eyes opened.

"Don't worry. We'll be with you in no time."

Zircon just nodded his head lazily and went directly to his room. As he changed his clothes to a pajama with white rabbits printed on it, he laid down on his bed and quickly fell asleep, entering to the land of dreams.

At least, that's what it was supposed to happen to a normal person.

In a dark place, where there was nothing more than the void, the silhouette of Zircon covered in a purple light appeared.

Then, he opened his eyes to see the other two shades in front of him.

Zircon couldn't help but smile after seeing them.

"Good night, Blue-nee, Red-nii."

"Good night, Zircon." The shade of a blue woman spoke.

It doesn't mean that her skin was blue. It means that all of her body was made of blue light. Her facial features couldn't be seen neither, so Zircon doesn't know nothing about her appearance.

However, even without knowing her physicals aspect, he could feel certain connection with her.

"Hmph. You blow it up, literally." Spoke a red man in a scoffing way.

He was also just like the blue woman, but he was... well, red. Moreover, Zircon felt a connection with him too.

Zircon, hearing his comment started to feel depress while remembering his mistake during the preparation of the tomato sauce that noon.

It all started when he asked Yuria if she could teach him how to prepare pasta with meatballs when he heard that Asako was returning that day.

He knows that Asako isn't his mother, and even she and Yuria didn't try to deny it when he asked them about the topic. However, even then, their relationship didn't change. In a certain way, that made them more united.

For that reason, Zircon wanted to make her a meal as thanks for all her hard work.

Unfortunately, when the oven wasn't working, he thought that it would be a good idea to use his recently awaken power to light it up.

However, it didn't result as planned. He manifested a red flame in his hand, but as soon as it touched the oven, a great red flare exploded, damaging the oven.

Then, when due to his affright of the flame, he ended up using it again without control, provoking that it collided with the microwave, destroying it.

"Sorry, Red-nii"

"I'd told you. This flame is too dangerous for you to use it without care." Said the red man called... Red, with an angry tone.

"You're lucky that you didn't injure yourself." Said the blue woman in a worried tone.

Zircon just could only shake his head due to the commentaries of Red and Blue. They were right; he was very imprudent by using a power that he doesn't understand.

It was one month ago when his powers along with the consciousness inside him awakened.

Those powers were a blue and red flame. With the red flame in his right hand, while the blue one in his left.

Alas, not only their colors were different, but also the powers in them.

The red one, as was already demonstrated, possess the power to destroy anything at the most simple touch, making it volatile and dangerous for anyone who makes contact with it carelessly.

In the case of the blue one, it was the opposite. This flame, unlike the red one, was neither hot nor cold; if someone touches it that person would feel nothing. Then, what's its power?

The answer is, healing. At least, is the only thing that Zircon, Yuria and Asako observed could determine.

When Zircon sprained his leg after falling from a tree. He didn't know how, but when wished to stop the pain from his wound, the blue flame appeared on his hand and started healing him.

Those were the powers that he awakened. Unfortunately, the drawback of this was that he didn't know how to use it, neither Red and Blue who always give him the knowledge he needed.

Red and Blue, in their own words, are all that remains from their fusion to become in 'Zircon', so they were individual consciousness but at the same time 'him'. At first, he was confused with their explanation, and to be honest, he still is.

Nevertheless, their relationship since one month ago when he met them was always friendly, so he didn't doubt of them.

And about them giving him knowledge, its only limited to what they learned from their past lives, and its limitation is that Zircon couldn't learn it in an instant. They teach him gradually what they know. It was like going to school, and Red and Blue were the teachers.

"Well, well. Don't be harsh with him." Suddenly, another female voice sounded in the distance.

When the three of them turned their gazes towards the young woman with black hair and brown eyes, on their sides, their hearts started to feel warm.

"Mother." Said the three of them.

The woman just smiled at them before giving them a hug full of maternal love. Her name is Clare, and she is the deceased mother of Zircon.

But, 'what is she doing here?' some may ask.

Six years ago, when Zircon transformed for the first time in what he called 'The Beast', his body consumed his mother's body at the same time.

At that moments, due to her being recently death, the 'memories' stored inside her blood started to be kept inside him. In normal cases after being consumed her memories would be also be consumed leaving nothing like it was the case of the other two vampires who attacked him.

Call it fortune or whatever you want, but like if it was by instinct, even in a berserker state his mother's memories where saved inside him. Nevertheless, not like a set of memories, but as another conscience, making her part of him.

The sad thing about it is that he would never be able to hug his mother in the real world never again. At least, he can do it in the dream world.

"However they are right. Don't be reckless for the next time, and be sure to don't be hurt." She placed her hand softly in Zircon's cheek.

"I understand. Mother." He closed his eyes, enjoying the touch of his mother.

Clare laughs softly seeing the cute action of her son.

"By the way, which one is going to be my daughter-in-law?" Said with a foxy smile.

She obviously was talking about Yuria and Asako.

"M-Mother! Zircon, no, 'we' are still too young for that!" Exclaimed Blue in a panicked way.

"Why?" Claire asked as if she didn't understand something.

"'Why', you ask?" Red asked in a dumbfounded way. "Mother, 'we' still are 6 years old. It's too soon for 'us' to even have a girlfriend."

"But I want a daughter-in-law~!" She started to agitate her hands in a childish way.

"You are too impatient!" Both, Blue and Red yelled.

Meanwhile, Zircon, being the 'main character' of the topic, had no clue about what they were talking. Still, he enjoyed the time he was spending with his 'mental' family.
