Kapitel 55: The Reclamation Camp [1]

The trip to their base, which they called the reclamation camp, wasn't far from the desolate lands. It only took us a few hours, but it felt much longer. During the trip, I had time to chat with the mecha pilots to pass the boredom.

"It's good news that you're still alive. If not for you, the future of our kingdom would be at risk," Kui mentioned again, referring to me as a hero, but the title didn't excite me.

"Why am I called a hero, again?" I asked, genuinely curious this time.

These pilots wouldn't revere me without a good reason. A question lingered in my mind that I had just recalled—what happened to the academy after I disappeared? All I knew was that the academy was safe, but that was all.

I hadn't thought much about the academy before, as I considered my life there a small part of my return. All of my plans were built there, but they were shattered immediately.
