Valerie swallowed nervously, silent in confusion.

"Perhaps you're worried Damian will keep Daniel away from you because he doesn't like me. Now, don't worry anymore, I've found a solution," Samuel said again. "I found a new job... The salary is fantastic. I can afford a lawyer to face Damian if he tries to claim custody of Daniel. And logically, Daniel is better off with you because he's still breastfeeding, plus you have me as your husband, so you don't need to work anymore. Damian's threats won't hold... You just need to say you left because he cheated on you with your friend. That evidence will make him look like a bad father, especially if he's distracted by other women and has to work... I'm sure the judge will favor you for custody of Daniel..."
