She frowned. "That's Dr. Banner turned into a monster?"
"Yes, his strength is terrifying," said Harry as he landed beside her.
Watching the green giant blasted into the sky by sheer force, he spoke up.
"He's airborne."
"Yes, quite high up."
All around, spectators stared in astonishment as a streak of light shot up after the green giant, catching up in mere seconds.
High above, Xia Luo skimmed past the Hulk, catching a clear look at the confusion and surprise in the big guy's eyes.

With webbing anchored to the void, Xia Luo catapulted himself like a magical missile, rocketing straight into Hulk's chest.
"Friendly Neighborhood Airplane Ride!"

The beast howled mid-air, the radiant trail engulfing them both as they careened toward an abandoned building on the coast.
"Friendly Neighborhood Meteor Punch!"
Along the way, Xia Luo's fists rained down on Hulk's head like a storm, muttering all the while.

Dazed and dizzy, Hulk started seeing his great-grandmother.

The Hulk's furious roar was met with another flurry of punches from Xia Luo.
Before Hulk could counterattack, the two of them crashed through the abandoned building in a blaze of light.

The two of them kept crashing through floor after floor of steel and concrete, with Xia Luo firmly perched on Hulk's chest. The relentless punches, combined with Hulk bearing the brunt of the impact, gave him no time to build up any more rage.
Soon enough, the entire building collapsed under everyone's stunned gaze, sending a massive cloud of dust and debris into the air.

As the system message popped up, Xia Luo darted through the falling steel and concrete, vanishing from the battlefield in an instant.
The crowd was left in shock.
Just then, flames roared in the distance.
Tony arrived on the scene in his Mark armor, gazing silently at the rubble below.
After all, he had just bought this abandoned building.
"Sir, would you like to send a cease and desist to Spider-Man?" Jarvis asked.
Tony's face twitched. "Spider-Man's broke."
"My apologies, I have no data on that."
"Send a message to S.H.I.E.L.D., they're footing the bill for this."
"Understood."
In the command room, Nick Fury stared at the collapsed building, his one eye filled with concern.
Spider-Man kept getting stronger. If that guy came back from the dead a few more times, even his friends might not be able to stop him.
"Nick, the gamma radiation wave frequencies at the scene have disappeared," Natasha reported from the field.
Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief. "Good. Looks like Spider-Man defeated that thing."
"Director, Tony just sent over a damage claim. That building was his," Coulson said.
Hearing this, Fury rubbed his forehead in frustration.
"Damn it, it was Spider-Man who wrecked it; what does that have to do with us?"
"Sir, I'd like to remind you—Spider-Man's broke."
Fury hesitated for a second, then sighed.
"Fine, I'll request funding, but I'm not making any promises."
"Understood, sir. We know S.H.I.E.L.D.'s broke."
Arriving at the scene, Coulson felt utterly drained.
Spider-Man's involvement had only worsened S.H.I.E.L.D.'s already tight finances.
But at least the out-of-control Dr. Banner had been contained, preventing worse consequences.
Otherwise, S.H.I.E.L.D. would not only face bankruptcy but also risk mass layoffs, putting agents at mid-career without jobs.
He still had a mortgage to pay off.
Soon, waves of rescue teams arrived at the ruins, and journalists scrambled to report the event.
In the crowd of onlookers, Xia Luo, now in a red-and-blue hoodie, played the part of an excited fan.
"Wow, Spider-Man's amazing! You're my hero! I love you!" he shouted with a raised fist.
Bystander: "…"
A youth with dreadlocks shot him a glare. "Hey kid, you're hurting my ears."
Xia Luo grinned. "Sorry, I'll help fix your ears."
He raised two fingers.
"Poke!"
"Oh, shit! You damn brat! I'm gonna mess you up! Don't you run!"
The dreadlocked youth chased him through three alleys, only to trip over Carter's outstretched foot and land headfirst in a trash can.
"Oh no! What the hell?! Who did that?!"
The dreadlocked boy cursed, fuming.
Up on a nearby rooftop—
Xia Luo lay leisurely on a web hammock, while Carter looked at him in exasperation.
"I heard Sitwell was a Hydra mole. Was it you who found out?"
Xia Luo folded his hands behind his head and smirked. "Yep. The second I opened my eyes, he chucked a genetic disruptor at me."
Carter looked taken aback.
"You're okay?"
Xia Luo nodded. "Of course. The Invincible Spider-Man will never die again."
Carter rolled her eyes. "You say that every time."
Xia Luo grinned, then asked, "What about you? Has anyone caught onto your secret?"
Carter sat down on the low wall of the rooftop. "I was prepared for this kind of thing. My family retrieved my 'body' and publicly announced I was injured. Only a few people know I'm back."
Xia Luo snorted. "Next time, make sure they bring my body along too."
"Didn't you say you wouldn't die again?"
"Good point."
Xia Luo continued, "Where's Felicia?"
"She's with me."
"So the Carter family left me to S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"Yes, it was a necessary compromise. Besides, your DNA was masked by the genetic disruptor, so no one discovered your identity. I wouldn't have been so lucky."
Xia Luo nodded. "Makes sense."
With a stretch, he got to his feet.
"I've been missing long enough. Guess it's time to go home."
"No rush. I've got it all arranged."
Xia Luo thought for a moment. "I was... traveling?" He glanced at Carter.
Carter chuckled. "Do you really need superpowers for something like that?"
Xia Luo: "…"
"I've already been 'traveling' plenty of times. They're gonna think I'm stealing family money."
"No worries, I checked—they don't have much money."
Xia Luo scowled. "Keep that between us."
"Understood."
