This starts off badly, I hate novels where the protagonist is a slave to the system, if he hides he can survive many zombies survive, so if he dies, no matter what the system is, therefore, a slave to the system, and I believe that the red queen find out as soon as you have intelligence it makes no sense, he places his hand on the barbel when he is thinking that means that he is thinking and he discovers it even before he does anything against other zombies, if he discovered it after killing some zombie it would make sense for him to call your attention but as soon as it arrives you don't have it.
