Kapitel 16: Chapter Sixteen

The drive back home after our dinner with Mike's family had me thinking about what Mrs. Luciano said about me and mike being from different worlds. She was right me and mike were different, I wasn't so sure anymore if us getting married would be best. his parents clearly have high standards set for him, well their family image that is. looking out the passenger window as mike drove over the bridge, I thought about Connor and how he had kissed me something felt strange and nice about it. just thought this made me angry at myself for even feeling for Connor.

" you okay babe?" mike asks breaking me from my thoughts.

" Yeah, I'm okay. dinner was nice," I say even though his mother expressed her true feelings towards me.

" yeah, see my parents are supportive. no need to worry." mike says as my phone dings alerting me of a text message.

Connor: I see you never responded. that's okay ill give you time to choose.
