Settling Lindy in had been only a matter of walking her inside the apartment, telling Bella who she was, and pointing her in the direction of the bedroom. She had laid down on the bed only to fall asleep within minutes. I told Bella to call when she woke up or if she needed anything and I went home.

Home with my mate.

Tyler and I changed cars with Nathan without speaking to one another at all. I tried to say goodbye only for Nathan to walk away from me with his head down as if he couldn't even look at me.

I wondered how much of his feelings were because of me and how much were because of Lindy and then I didn't wonder anything at all about Nathan because I was in the back of the sedan with Adam behind the wheel and Tyler at my side.

Tyler didn't wait for the car to pull away from the curb before his hands were on my body.
