The sound of the doorbell ringing cut my shower short.

Livie? She had just left not too long ago. Did she leave something behind?

I quickly dried and wrapped a towel around my body before rushing to the front door to open it.

“Livie, did you forget some-“ My words were cut off, and my eyes widened in shock as I saw the figure standing on my porch.

Tall, slender, handsome with a unique eye color, a seductive smile, and a refreshing scent of the sea breeze.

“Theo? Why... What are you doing here?” My hand subconsciously tightened around the knot of my towel.

His burning gaze went down from my face to my towel-covered body, sending delicious tingles everywhere. No matter whether I had accepted him as my mate or not, the matebond still affected my physical reaction to him.

“I’m here for a reward,” he smiled slowly. “Just a cup of tea in exchange for the favor I had done for you.”
