Kapitel 189: Candles, Oil, and Black Petals

Three days after the celebration of the first month of their marriage, it was as if the whole empire was bustling around for Prince Xiaodan's birthday. Teams of people already started creating the decorations. The menu kept on getting revised whenever a new person answered YES to their invitation.

Empress Li Xiu was steering the ship of her second son's birthday. Sometimes, she was absent at meals, refusing to be bothered with her planning.

While the rest of the palace was busy to make a grand birthday party for the prince, Tianshi Xue and Prince Qui was inside one of the many vacant rooms in the east wing.

"What do you think about Prince Xiaodan choosing a wife?" she asked as she put twigs near the candles. She was making an outer circle.

"What about it?" Prince Qui asked as he patiently lighted each wick with a matchstick, going around the circle as well. 

"I mean why do the princess have to go here? He should be the one visiting their palaces."
