His lifeforce grew weaker, every breath was more strained compared to his last one. None of his struggles to remain conscious were yielding a positive result. 'I don't want to die…I have to help Harry…I have yet to become the most powerful wizard,' Kyle's muddled eyes fired up with a new determination.
Unknown to him, the marble-sized white orb started to rapidly spin, like the light blue sesame seed-sized orb, it started to release dense strands of pure white energy. The energy seemed to seep into his injured organs, his bones, his muscles, and skin. Kyle sighed in relief seeing the positive change and then fell asleep as all the tiredness hit him once his guard was down.
Kyle woke an unknown time later, his head felt heavy and he felt insatiably hungry right now. Paying no attention to the time that had passed while he was unconscious, or to the changes his body and cores had gone under, he proceeded to the fridge and unceremoniously grabbed as much food as he could. Sitting on the couch he started wolfing down as much food as he could. He just wanted to satiate this hunger of his as soon as possible.
'Interface,' Kyle thought.

"SHIT…" Kyle cursed, his core cultivation had fallen down 1 minor realm and this pointed out that his core, the little light blue one was damaged to some extent. The boy concentrated and once again entered the world of darkness, it had somewhat changed, the light blue wisps were not as dense as before, which of course confirmed that his magic cultivation had been truly reduced by 1 realm. Also, there were white-colored strands that were in a many times larger density compared to the light blue wisps.
Kyle could instinctually tell that other than white being superior to light blue in terms of density and quantity, it was also superior in terms of quality. He could also tell that the white wisps had a large amount of lifeforce and a much smaller, almost minuscule percentage of magic in it. However, when compared to the current light blue core, it was of a much greater quality and quantity.
'So, this white energy saved me…hmm,' the boy thought as he moved his attention to his naval region. He started carefully examining the condition of the 9 cores (this is what he will be temporarily be calling them). The 7 grey cores had exhibited no change at all. They were still floating stationarily in the black space that was somewhat illuminated by the 2 other active cores as if stars in a night sky.
Moving to the other 2 cores, Kyle witnessed the significant changes that both the cores had undergone. The white core that initially was just floating and glowing in a white splendor was now spinning around on its own axis, it was releasing all the white strands of energy. As for the light blue core, the one Kyle could sense it that the wisps released by it were of lesser quality, quantity, and density. It used to release a much larger number of wisps before.
Kyle, fortunately, did not find any damage to the core other than the nearly 2/3 number of wisps it was releasing compared to before. This meant that either the core had not been damaged…or it had somehow repaired from the damage it had received, and he might never find the answer but, he had a hunch that just like the white strands had repaired his body, they also had healed the damage the little light blue core had received. Kyle shuddered at the mere thought of all the pain he had suffered due to his skin rupturing, his organs getting either shifted and punctured, and his bones getting snapped and fragmented.
After eating his fill, Kyle sat down once again on the floor in a meditative pose. It was time for him to begin his cultivation. He focused wholly onto the blue core and wisps; he willed the-wisp to move along the path the cultivation formula had taught him to. He moved the-wisp from his dantian (core) to the upper and lower extremities of the body and then making them return to the slow and steadily rotating core.
As time passed by, Kyle observed some improvements and changes in his magic flow (the light blue wisps) and the magic core (the light blue core). The magic flow had improved, it was less mentally taxing for Kyle to move the wisps and it was now moving at an improved pace compared to before. He also could somewhat sense that every time the wisps passed through the core, they would get a little denser and the core would produce more of these wisps, these wisps would tag along with the compressed ones along the specified path.
These improvements though were minuscule, but were actually quite significant, in time the improvement and benefits would only become exponential.
2 months later:
Kyle made an advancement, his cultivation was back to his original one, 1st stage completion. It took him 2 whole months to get his cultivation back. An advancement of 1 stage had taken him quite long, but honestly, he didn't know whether he had done it faster in comparison to a non-cultivating wizard.
However, there were some differences, between his previous completion (minor realm) and this one, he could clearly sense that the latter was much more powerful in comparison to the former. His current magic was nearly 25% potent in the aspects of quality(purity), quantity, and density when compared to his initial stage. His former would have been 15% potent in the same aspects when the same comparison was made.
The difference of only 10% might have seemed minute, but once again it is being emphasized that the benefits would be exponential with each consecutive advancement.
The next thing that quite intrigued Kyle was that his very first advancement took nearly 2 months, and he could guess that his next advancements would take much more time. He had the time chamber, which gave him nearly 1400 years before the letter of acceptance from Hogwarts came, but how did the wizards in ancient times cultivate, surely, they didn't have such a long lifespan to support their cultivation. Each breakthrough was much longer than the previous one, how could have anyone reached the later stages of cultivation.
Getting none of his queries answered as he recalled all the content from the tome, Kyle continued with his cultivation.
4 months later:
Kyle broke out of his meditative pose. He sighed in exasperation, he had advanced to the perfection realm, the last realm of the foundation stage. Though he was quite elated with his advancement, it had taken him 4 months, a total of 6 months for 2 minor advancements. In terms of potency, his magic was now nearly 3.8 times more potent compared to 6 months ago after his body being damaged fiasco. This was only in terms of magical potency; the other benefit of the cultivation technique was that his magic now moving comparatively at a little faster pace, this meant faster reflexes and greater dueling prowess.
Kyle decided that it was time for him to take a few days' break from meditation, after all sitting for 6 months straight and doing nothing but meditating had made him quite bored and restless.
The next days were quite relaxing for Kyle, he started to read some books from his stash, mainly based on wandless magic, these books most probably belonged to the restricted section. This could probably be the reason that wandless magic was non-existent among the students, the first reason being that wandless magic required extreme control over one's magic and the second reason was that the students could not enter the restricted section unless given permission by the staff or the headmaster.
After reading all the books from the library related to wandless magic, Kyle started practicing the most basic of charms. The first one he practiced was the wand-lighting charm, or in his case wandless-lighting charm, Lumos.
Initially, Kyle could not produce even a little spark, after trying for god knows how many times, Kyle slouched onto the couch in frustration. He then remembered something from the fanfics he had read in his previous life. The wands were a conduit for magic, they pulled the magic flow towards themselves, then amplified it to some extent and thus one could do magic this way. He, however, had no wand, and while practicing for the wand lighting charm he had not been moving the wisps of magic inside his body.
And so, Kyle used the cultivation formula to move the wisps to his right hand's forefinger, the very finger he was observing with his unprotected, open eyes. "Lumos…," the boy muttered. He had used correct incantation, with perfect pronunciation…a moment later.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH, FUUUUUUCCCCCCK-FUCK MY EYEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!" the white dimension resounded with the cries of its master. Kyle rubbed his tightly closed eyes, he moved to the basin and started splashing water into his eyes. The boy opened his eyes, only to be welcomed by darkness.
SCIENCE LESSON: In case an idiot stares directly at a very bright source of light, which emits UV-rays, he or she can go blind. The UV-rays burn the exposed tissue in the retina, destroying the rods and cones in the eyes, rendering one with blind spots in the central vision called scotoma, or in our idiot MC's cause blindness. Why did a simple Lumos charm do such damage you may ask? Well, the idiot 7-year-old had been advancing his magic by cultivation, so the magic potency was much higher than a non-cultivating mage, increasing his magical potency without any sort of practice and control over the said power from the consecutive breakthroughs. So, when he used the charm while rotating his core and magic at maximum while pointing the finger towards his eyes…well you can imagine the rest.
"…fuck, what am I supposed to do now?" the boy said panicking a bit, what was he really going to do. Kyle slowly moved to his most treasured place…the couch, of course, he stumbled multiple times. Then he remembered the injuries from 6 months back, at that time his badly injured body was healed by the time he gained consciousness, he had hypothesized that it had happened due to the white strands of energy from the white core.
"…I guess it's time to test the hypothesis…" Kyle concentrated on moving the white energy towards his eyes. Slowly, the strands of white energy began to move as he willed them to. Kyle groaned in pleasure as a cool, soothing feeling spread into his eyes. He could feel the damaged tissue being repaired, making the said tissue more resistant to damage equated to before.
His sight returned within a few minutes, Kyle marveled at what had just transpired, which was nothing short of a miracle. Could he be immortal like wolverine from x-men? Kyle thought, but there was only 1 way to find that, and he was not going to do that, ever.
1 month later:
After 'the losing his sight fiasco', Kyle had started carefully practicing his wandless magic, he would keep on performing the most tiring of charms and then recover his magic while meditating. His core would produce more dense and pure magic whenever he had emptied his magic reservoirs. Kyle was overjoyed when he observed that he was already halfway to the next stage. This meant that exhausting his magic reservoir and then recovering them was at least 4 times more efficient compared to simply sitting and meditating, not to mention that he was also practicing magic.
Have fun.
