Kapitel 28: Final Showdown (Rewrite)

"Woah! Almost got us," Ben exclaimed, narrowly avoiding Vilgax's attack. Fred quickly covered them in a magic sphere, pulling them towards him.
The Omnitrix turned green, and Ben heard the familiar sound of it resetting. "Oh yeah, no more running," he said with determination, slamming the dial and transforming into Diamondhead. The hoverboard sunk due to the change in weight, so Ben jumped off and created a diamond ramp, sliding towards Vilgax.
"Ben!" Max cried out, his voice filled with concern, but the drones kept them occupied.
Fred clenched his fist, releasing a burst of mana that turned the swarm of drones around him into dust. "Woah, I wanna do that," Gwen remarked, defending herself with a blaster she borrowed from Mount Rushmore.
More drones flooded from the ship above, surrounding them. "Greater strength, greater agility, heightened senses, indomitable spirit, immovable fortress," Fred chanted, applying buffs to Max and Gwen before moving on.
"Woah, this feels amazing," Gwen exclaimed, feeling lighter, stronger, and more aware of her surroundings as she fought off the drones.
"I feel better than in my prime," Max remarked, fighting alongside Gwen.
Seeing Fred and Ben as threats, Vilgax charged and bashed Fred with his shoulder. The shockwave stripped the grassy land into barren grounds, forming a crater beneath them. Fred stood unscathed as the dust cleared, his eyes shimmering purple. He raised his fist and punched Vilgax, sending him flying in an instant.
Ben quickly reacted, shooting diamond shards at Vilgax as he crashed to the ground. "That's gotta hurt," Diamondhead remarked, landing next to Fred.
"You t..." he began, but Vilgax got back up. "For a human, you possess some strength," Vilgax growled, digging his hands into the ground and ripping out a huge chunk of rock. He threw it at Ben and Fred with immense force.
Ben created a diamond dome, but the rock shattered it, with Vilgax bursting through like the Kool-Aid Man. Fred raised his hand towards Vilgax. "Ben, start shooting your crystal bullets in front of you!" he instructed.
In a swift move, Fred switched their positions with Vilgax, a technique he had mastered quickly. Ben, slightly disoriented, shot his crystal bullets, but Vilgax, unfazed, stretched his hand and pressed the dial of the Omnitrix, turning Ben back to normal.
"What! You can do this too?" Ben exclaimed, shocked. But Vilgax wasn't finished. He grabbed Ben, but Fred quickly formed another magic circle, switching Ben's position with a lump of rock.
"An annoying little trick," Vilgax muttered. He crushed the rock with his fist and swung at Ben and Fred with his other arm. Fred created a purple barrier, but they were flung back, crashing to the ground. Their helmets fell off due to the impact.
"Man, that hurts," Ben groaned, getting up. "I guess he really wants the watch."
"You don't know the half of it," Fred replied, his voice tense.
"Children! Not only is the Omnitrix in the hands of a child, but it's being kept from me by two insignificant human brats!" Vilgax raged, his eyes burning with fury.
"Woah, calm down, Freezer. It's not our fault you keep taking L's," Fred taunted.
"Let me," Ben said, transforming into Four Arms. He punched the ground, sending a shockwave that caused the ground beneath Vilgax to cave in, making him fall.
Vilgax jumped out of the pit, bashing the ground and sending another shockwave towards them. "Woah," Ben said as the ground shook beneath him. Fred floated above the ground, unaffected.
Vilgax pressed a few buttons on his arm claw gauntlet, firing a missile from his ship towards Max and Gwen, and a few more towards the nearby city. "Nooo!" Ben exclaimed, seeing the incoming threat.
"Don't get distracted," Fred warned, stretching his arms towards the missiles. He clasped his hands, stopping them in mid-air. "Yeah, good o— Offf," Ben began, but Vilgax charged, tackling him into a boulder.
"I told you not to worry," Fred shouted, redirecting the missiles upwards as they exploded in the sky. "Good thing I set up that giant illusion barrier," he muttered.
Vilgax turned Ben back to normal again by pressing the face of the Omnitrix. "Okay, how are you guys doing this? Is there like a cheat code or something?" Ben asked, exasperated.
"Insufferable child. The Omnitrix is not a toy for your amusement. It's a weapon capable of universal destruction. The likes of you can't comprehend its capabilities," Vilgax snarled. "And it seems it's bound to your DNA. But no matter, I'll rip it off your arm," he said, grabbing Ben's arm with the watch and his body with his other arm, preparing to rip his arm off.
Ben screamed as Vilgax was about to pull. At that moment, Vilgax activated the tractor beam of his ship, and he and Ben were pulled towards it. "Don't forget about me," Fred intervened swiftly, teleporting Ben and punching Vilgax on his right chest with his arm covered in purple lightning, sending him flying down with a loud bang.
"Woah, it seems there's a small earthquake," a random passerby remarked, feeling the ground shake.
"Cough, cough, cough," Vilgax staggered as he got up, green blood dripping from his chest where Fred had struck him. His armor shattered completely. "Earth scum! I'll kill you and destroy your whole planet!" Vilgax roared in fury.
"Yeah, he's mad," Ben remarked.
"Then I guess we should end this," Fred said, standing beside Ben. He took Ben's arm and dialed the Omnitrix. "Hey, what are you..." Ben began.
"It's okay. I'll turn you into someone strong enough to defeat this guy. Once you transform, I want you to cross your arms in an X shape, pointing towards the sky. Like this," Fred instructed, demonstrating the motion as Vilgax charged again.
"O-kaay?" Ben replied, uncertain but trusting Fred.
Fred waited a moment before slamming the Omnitrix's dial. He pointed two fingers of his left hand at Vilgax, swiping down and causing Vilgax to collapse to the ground with great force. He then pointed his right index finger at Vilgax's ship, storing it in his pocket dimension.
"My ship! What have you done!" Vilgax cried, barely able to move as he saw his ship disappear.
"It's mine now," Fred said with a disturbing smile. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of it." He pointed his fingers where Vilgax's ship had been, teleporting Vilgax there and binding him in place with purple mana chains. Fred then pressed the dial and teleported away, giving Ben space to transform into Way Big.
"Woah! I'm biiig!" Ben exclaimed, marveling at his new form.
"Yeah! Way Big!" Fred cheered.
Ben crossed his arms as Fred had shown him, pointing towards Vilgax. A huge beam shot forth, striking Vilgax with immense power. "I think it's enough now," Fred said after a while, seeing the devastation.
Ben continued blasting Vilgax until Fred cautioned, "I think you incinerated even the atoms of his body." Ben finally stopped, transforming back to normal and collapsing to the ground in exhaustion.
Max and Gwen finished off the remaining drones. With Vilgax's mothership gone, no more reinforcements came. The battle was over, and they could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
