Kapitel 148: Chapter 148 - Unexpected attack

"Uncle, run!" Elle shook his shoulders.

the Duke listened, calmly looking around, unknown to them they had already walked into a less crowded alleyway. The plethora of people who were around them had mysteriously scatted away as if they knew what was going to happen.

"Stay close," he gestured for Haily to get close to him. the other two guards also unsheathed their swords and were ready to fight

"No!! you mustn't! Uncle, leave! please he will kill you! leave!!!!" she kept screaming loudly.

Duke looked around. Running as not an option anymore. They were surrounded in all directions. Even if they wanted to leave, they would have to at least break the formation the enemy had created. The best option was to fight, distract and create an opening for the kids to escape.

He mentally calculated everything. He handed Aiden and Elle another guard and gestured for him to stay close to Haily.
