CONSTRUCTION VIA LIVING CELLS

The ultimate goal of this project is to unify the fields of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Neuromorphic Computing.

BIOTECHNOLOGY

Via Biotechnology, it will be possible to craft construction materials from Living Cells. Plant-like Cells that can photosynthesize would be prime for purposes such as this. Photosynthetic Cells could genetically be programmed to harvest Sunlight which can be converted to Energy for Houses constructed from said Living Cells. The conversion would occur via Nanotechnology which would convert the Harvested Solar Energy collected by the Living Cells to Chemical Energy which could be stored in batteries to power the Habitat. The most important feature of constructing with Biotech is the ability of Living Cells to multiply and thus regenerate. These Cells could be programmed to 'rebuild' the Habitat in case of Damage. The Cells could also be programmed to prey on Pathogens via Natural Predatory Instincts thus maintaining Hygiene within the Habitat. This technology is not limited to constructing Habitats but also Vehicles and Spaceships.

NANOTECHNOLOGY

Via Nanotechnology, the Framework of any Structure designed via this Technology can be constructed and maintained. Nanotechnology can be used to construct the 'Skeletal Framework' and 'Nervous System' of such a structure. This includes all wiring through which programming via DNA Sequencing and Software Programming Languages will be used to convey instructions for maintaining the overall structure of such a Habitat or Vehicle. Genetic Sequencing could be used to program the Living Components to exhibit a wide variety of characteristics such as Oxygen Production, Thermal Regulation, Air Conditioning and Ventilation, Hygiene via Pathogen Predation and things of the sort. Nanotechnology on the other hand will be used to convert the Energy Harvested from Photosynthetic Living Cells into Chemical Energy for Domestic Use. It will also be used to maintain the overall Structure of the Building/Vehicle by acting as an Energy Converter, Nervous System and Skeletal Framework.

NEUROMORPHIC AI COMPUTING

The Living Cells and Nanobots will be designed to exhibit properties similar to the Nervous Systems of Living Organisms. This will be controlled via Artificial Intelligence which would harbor a Software Equivalent of the Habitat's entire Structure. All the Organic and Robotic Parts including all Joints and Wiring will be contained within an AI that merges Genetic Sequencing with Robotic Programming. This will be used to program the individual units of the Habitat. The AI will monitor all Sensory input captured via Living Cells and Nanobot Sensors. It will also send instructions to the Structure to move various parts. This means it becomes possible to construct Buildings/Vehicles that can autonomously regenerate/repair themselves, Harvest and Convert Energy for use, expand and alter the shape of the Structure and the like.
