As promised, Mihael was allowed to move up to third grade.
So technically-
Today was his last day of class.
And-
Despite the whole lackluster performance last time- turns out-
The kids-
Actually-
Warmed up to Mihael. Not just the girls but also some of the boys too.
They thanked him for saving their lives and-
'Same old… same old…' Mihael thought, not paying any attention.
It'd been the same in his previous life.
He was constantly showered with praise and affection.
But-
Yes- he was getting different types of affection and new experiences but-
'Is this really what I wanted?'
Is this-
Was this-
Really enough?
Did he really reincarnate just for this?
***
For the first time, Mihael didn't sleep through class.
He actually paid attention for once.
On the final class that is…
"So, there we have it. Ten elements; Fire, Earth, Water and Wind as base elements and Lava, Metal, Ice and Lightning as advance elements." The teacher drew diagrams on the board. "Most lesser beings are capable of using up to the advanced elements but only high angels are capable of using Holy- the ninth element. And only Devils are capable of using Shadow- the tenth element."
"What about Void and Plasma- and Etherrin?" Mihael said-
"You were actually paying attention for once-" The teacher paused- pleasantly surprised. "Those are said to be the lost elements; some high angels however can use Void and only Sir Skullmandathor can use Plasma. No one alive knows how to use Etherrin, however. Our founders, the three supreme gods knew them but… sadly were murdered by a devil who's name had been lost to the ages."
"Gerar Ayne Argustine-" Mihael said- "So you're suggesting no one recalls this name anymore?"
"Huh?" The teacher stared. "How do you know one of our supreme-" She mumbled. "That's it for today!"
And she ran away three minutes before class ended.
'Supreme…' If he recalled correctly, those were the founders of the god hierarchy and he personally ended their tyranny.
But- 'None of their names were mentioned in any of the books…' He did find that odd.
But-
Him as a supreme?
"Just because you're getting promoted, don't get ahead of yourself. There's always someone better than you," Ereal said. He'd sat right next to Mihael. "So, keep on practicing." A faint smirk. "Or I'll catch up quicker than you can imagine!"
"Unfortunately, I'm the strongest at this academy and that's a fact. But thank you for your concern."
"Sometimes this guy's confidence really blows me away-" Raine grumbled from just the bench behind. But she had a faint smirk as well.
Meanwhile- the girl next to Raine- Miseli sniffled as though seeing her little boy leave the nest for the first time… something like that.
"Let's go-" Sarveisa came in- ready to leave.
Apparently, Mihael didn't realize but-
This was the last class.
Aka-
School was over-
And so was his first grade…
The kids hadn't left because they wanted to see him off.
"Right…" Mihael said. He walked for the door.
Not looking back.
All eyes were on him-
They said their farewell but-
As Mihael was about to cross the door-
He-
Raised his hand up-
A silent farewell….
***
Though a farewell, it didn't really mean much to Mihael.
It wasn't like he was leaving the academy and even if he was, that class didn't mean anything.
Outside the class, someone was waiting him for though.
The blonde high angel- Rose.
"What?" Mihael said- not stopping.
She paced herself with the two.
"I heard you got into trouble and…" A little fidgety. "You okay?"
"Obviously."
"And you even tamed a holy beast?"
"This thing?" Mihael pulled a crab out of his pocket.
At first Rose thought the boy must have been joking.
But then she remembered- yeah- he wasn't the type to be joking.
But really-
A fist-sized crab?
And wait-
It had pink fur over it?
Wha?
Flick!
The crab raised one of its pincers almost as though saying hello.
"What the hell is this thing. So darn cute!" She drooled. "Do you mind if I have him for a sec?"
Breath erratic- face flushed-
What was this-
Her first love?
"Yes, yes I do mind. He's a necessary sacrifice I must make." A fist- definitely determined.
"Sacrifice?" She wondered.
"He doesn't like the crab-" Sarveisa said. "So, it's somewhat of a torture for him to have it…"
Kids passed them by.
A lot of them were going back home today-
After all-
Tomorrow was the weekend!
"Wha?" She giggled.
"Weird, I know." Sarveisa chuckled.
Rose snickered. "Yeah… you're right. Weird guy."
Meanwhile- Mihael didn't bother caring. He just shrugged; not worth it.
They eventually made it outside.
To the Zwin field.
And now-
They could teleport.
Or rather- Mihael and Sarveisa could.
"Then, I wish you a gooday. See you tomorrow-" Rose waved.
Miahel didn't wave back but Sarveisa did.
White particles fluttered-
As they made it back to their apartment's living.
"She's a nice kid."
"Sirgh…." Mihael slumped down on the floating sofa.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm bored."
"Anything you want to do?"
"No."
"Anything you want to eat?"
"No."
"Anyone, you want to fight and destroy?" Sarveisa was confused herself.
"Not really."
"Then, what do you want?"
"I don't know…"
Sarveisa sighed again.
She had no idea how to deal with kids and let alone their boredom. "How about we do some cooking?"
Mihael stared almost insulted but- "I suppose that is better than nothing." All the cooking he'd done in his last life was nothing more than just roasting a whole town for some fun times…
Now Sarveisa stared.
And for a good minute, thinking. "Actually, how about I teach you various other things." Eyes lit, a big wide grin.
Very-
Very evil grin….
