Kapitel 216: Chapter 217 : Hostiity!

"Konoha, Uchiha's ninjas! Today's battle belongs to us, the Cloud Ninja!"

Seeing the distant large army converging towards them, C bluffed and effortlessly withdrew from the battlefield, observing from a safe distance.

"Damn...!"

Uchiha Kagami gritted her teeth, observing the small wounds covering C's body. His grip on the katana trembled slightly.

"Cloud Ninja, don't get too cocky!"

Konoha ninjas, unaware of C's true strength, hurriedly approached, launching a few ninjutsu attacks.

"Ha ha."

C, not bothering to acknowledge the attacks, jokingly locked eyes with Uchiha Kagami. Channeling Lightning Release chakra, he transformed into a bolt of lightning, evading the attacks effortlessly.

"Capture him!"

An elder from the Uchiha clan had just arrived, commanding a group of elite Uchiha ninjas to charge forward.

"Enough! Do you not think the casualties are sufficient?"

Kagami Uchiha turned coldly, his scarlet eyes startling the elder. He had never seen the usually approachable Kagami so enraged.

"Hehe, let's bid farewell then!"

Despite C's recklessness, he wasn't foolish. All Cloud Ninja had successfully evacuated, the Konoha army had arrived, and he couldn't linger any longer. He knew that much.

C's arrogant gaze swept across the ashen-faced Uchiha ninjas before transforming into a streak of light, escaping into the distance. Many Uchiha ninjas maintained their jutsu seals but ultimately refrained from pursuing.

No one attempted to stop him, and perhaps no one could.

In the end, C said nothing, but his eyes conveyed a clear message: "Uchiha clan, that's all!"

Just that!

The three-tomoe Sharingan of Uchiha Kagami spun frantically, its ocular power exuding a formidable intensity that seemed almost tangible.

Unfortunately, the awakening of the MangeKagami Sharingan remained elusive—a limitation imposed by the heaviest of bloodlines!

"Clan Head, who is he to have killed so many of us!"

A horrified Uchiha, surveying the dozens of Uchiha ninja corpses, found none belonging to the Cloud Ninja.

The corpses were gruesome, most appearing to have fallen to a single move, evidently the work of one individual. The ground resembled the aftermath of a tailed beast's rampage.

"He's the commander of Cloud Ninja's East Cloud army, the right-hand man of the second-generation Raikage, C!" Uchiha Kagami sighed and spoke somberly.

"What! How could he be here? He...!"

A Konoha ninja was shocked, some even turning paler. Many were unaware that this Cloud Ninja force was led by this particular individual.

"Clean up the battlefield; let's go meet Sarutobi. The situation there might not be optimistic."

Uchiha Kagami shook his head and spoke with a heavy heart.

After Konoha's establishment and 20 years of self-cultivation, the Uchiha and Senju clans had gradually regained their strength, seemingly on the path to peace. However, this battle shattered the dream of peace once again. Uchiha Kagami, an advocate for peace and the village, now felt a tinge of despair in his convictions.

Originally a genius seemingly unmatched in the world, the experiences of war had deepened his understanding of why some elder Uchihas harbored resentment toward villages created by Hashirama.

Perhaps it was the hatred spawned by war!

"Lord Kagami, we have successfully eliminated over 800 cloud ninja, with only around 300 casualties on our side. We've also disrupted a significant amount of their supplies and strategic materials, thwarting their plans. This battle can be considered a great victory!"

A Konoha ninja swiftly tallied the casualties on both sides while burning the corpses and the Cloud Ninja camp. Uchiha's ninjas meticulously examined the eyes of their fallen clansmen, and the bodies of several Jōnin were temporarily preserved.

"Is that so?"

For some reason, Uchiha Kagami, upon reviewing the victory statistics, couldn't muster a smile.

Half of the deceased ninjas were auxiliary soldiers from other Konoha teams, while the other half were elite Uchiha members. Naturally, the Uchiha ninjas held greater value.

Despite the numbers favoring Konoha, Uchiha Kagami still valued each life, and the loss of over 100 Uchiha ninjas weighed heavily on his mind.

Especially recalling the scene where C single-handedly defeated many of them, Uchiha Kagami couldn't help but feel a surge of anger.

It could only be said that under the influence of Takeshi, the world's situation had become more intense and brutal.

"Ken, Good job this time. I'll make sure to credit you in front of the clan and Hokage-sama."

Despite the frustration, Uchiha Kagami, who had to make an effort to calm down, saw Uchiha Ken nearby and patted him on the shoulder, offering words of encouragement.

If not for Uchiha Ken's timely intelligence about the intention of the formidable C, Konoha and Uchiha's ninjas would have suffered greater losses against Cloud Ninja.

Uchiha had indeed achieved significant success this time, and despite any familial animosity due to his grandfather, Uchiha Sagijima, Uchiha Ken had become somewhat of a hero in his eyes.

"It was just luck, haha."

Uchiha Ken humbly lowered his head, but his eyes betrayed a hidden thought that no one could discern.

"Miss Tsunade, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, come with me to meet Hiruzen. He and Tobirama-sama must be eager for our report."

Rescuing the Sannin was an unexpected joy for Uchiha Kagami. Burning the Cloud's supplies added to their success, and fortunately, there were no casualties among the Sannin.

"Then... then I'll leave it to you!"

Jiraiya, having a face-to-face interaction with the Uchiha clan head for the first time, displayed a hint of caution.

"Please!"

Tsunade, on the other hand, exuded a dignified and generous air, seeming to carry her own aura.

Orochimaru merely nodded without speaking, still silently absorbing the power of the blood.

"Humph!"

Uchiha Ken, who had initially been stunned by Orochimaru's presence, now emanated a strong sense of hostility. His fists clenched, and he couldn't help but step forward, the message clear.

"Well?"

Orochimaru was momentarily surprised, then smirked, observing Uchiha Ken with interest.

His own pawn didn't recognize him but instead faced him with hostility. It was an oddly satisfying sense of accomplishment.

Despite the hate and disgust, Orochimaru faced the power of these cursed eyes without fear, looking back at this "enemy" from years past.

"Ken, what are you doing!"

Kagami Uchiha easily sensed Ken's hostility and stepped in front of him with a serious expression. As the Clan Head, he had a general understanding of the grievances from those years.

"...I'm sorry, Clan Head."

Uchiha was taken aback, and instead of the violent impulse he had back then, he narrowed his eyes and smiled apologetically.

"Sorry, I let my emotions get the better of me!"

Under the surprised gazes of Tsunade and Jiraiya, Uchiha Ken bowed his head slightly and departed, his smile carrying a hint of coldness.

"Haha, interesting. It seems your character is not only more surly but has also begun to learn restraint."

Orochimaru, looking at Uchiha Ken's retreating figure, smiled with admiration.

"Unfortunately, you're still the same as back then. I wonder what you're facing..."
