Kapitel 39: For love's sake

"I didn't think you would come," Jackie, dressed in a black suit, said, sitting down on the opposite side of the table. On the other side sat Emma, who couldn't help but feel a little conflicted with Jackie.

"Despite what you did, I still think I owe you," she replied, wondering what Jackie would want to say that would make it important for her to be present.

"Well, I am really sorry for what I did, and I know no amount of apology will make what I did bearable, but I really thank you for coming," Jackie appreciated.

"No need, but why are we here, and let me guess, it's about Allen, isn't it?" Emma asked, already guessing why Jackie was here. She felt like the conversation wouldn't take long; all she was curious about was why and what he wanted to talk about regarding Allen.
