After the wedding ended, Madara made his way to the top of the cliff that would observe the soon to be village.
By his side was a gourd filled with sake.
As Madara poured out a drink for himself, he heard footsteps coming near.
Without turning around, Madara let out a smile before downing his drink. Once he finished, Madara let out a sigh of satisfaction before saying, "Leaving your wife alone on your wedding night is a crime, Hashirama."
Hashirama let out a chuckle before sitting down next to Madara. "I'll be back by her side soon so don't start nagging at me."
Madara smirked as he poured a cup for Hashirama who in turn also poured a cup for Madara. The two of them clinked cups before downing them at the same time.
"Beautiful view isn't it," said Hashirama as he stared down at the growing village below.
"What are you gonna call it," asked Madara. "The village of course."
"How about Konohagakure… the village hidden in flames," said Hashirama with a sparkle in his eyes.
"How ironic," said Madara as he calmly drank more sake. "A leaf village in the land of fire. We might burn up any time."
"I hope that us old leaves will be able to become kindle for the younglings who will inherit our will of fire," said Hashirama as he gazed at the sky, seeing something special in whatever was in the stars."
"Tch. There you go being philosophical. How we have changed."
"I wish you to become the First Hokage, Madara. Become the first leader of the leaf."
Madara waved away Hashirama. "Me? The leader? Don't joke around. It will be you Hashirama. Only you can become the first hokage."
"… how about you become the second hokage once I die?" Asked Hashirama with a serious look.
Madara responded by throwing his empty sake cup at Hashirama.
"What was that for?" Complained Hashirama while rubbing his head in pain.
"Don't act like it hurts. I know better than anyone else how thick your head is."
"Heh."
"As for the position of the second Hokage… let Izuna or Tobirama fight for it. If you ever end up dying… it'll be after me."
"Oho? Is my Madara being nice for once?"
"Bah, shut up you wood faced bastard."
"There you go with being a tsundere. How cute~"
Madara kicked Hashirama in the side causing Hashirama to actually feel pain this time.
Watching his once friend turned rival back to being a friend acting like this, Madara couldn't help but let out a sigh.
"If this is the soon to be leader of the village, how long will it survive…"
"Hahaha…" awkwardly laughed Hashirama. "You could always be the first-"
Madara rolled his eyes. "Shut up and go back to your wife already."
"You should get married soon too Madara, before you get too old."
"I'll get married when I want. You go leave me alone now. Oh right, I want a laboratory once the village is complete. A laboratory for myself?"
"What for-"
Before Hashirama could finish, Madara kicked him off the cliff causing Hashirama to scream all the way down.
Madara closed his eyes and listened to the screams with a small smile.
