Kapitel 6: Rewards and Training

7 Years have passed.

Arthas is now 8 years old, and the time he has spent in those years has been incredibly fulfilling.

Aside from unlocking the Inventory feature and completing numerous side quests, he has also received a multitude of rewards from the systems, all in the form of gold coins.

- Inventory -

(Gold Coins: 2150)

The weight of the gold in Arthas' inventory was substantial, a testament to all the hard work he had put into completing numerous quests.

As he gazed at his accumulated wealth, a sense of contentment washed over him.

For now, he decided to keep the gold untouched, treating it like a precious savings account.

Being only 8 years old, he knew there was little he could do with the gold at the moment except for buying trinkets from the store.

But wise beyond his years, Arthas understood that it was best to save his riches for future use when he would be old enough to venture out into the world and make more meaningful purchases.

Despite being only 8 years old, his days were far from idle.

He may have been focused on completing his quests, but he was also eager to explore the palace grounds on his own.

With steady steps and curious eyes, he made his way through every nook and cranny, familiarizing himself with everyone who worked there.

And while he made sure to complete his tasks diligently.

However, as a member of the royal family, there were certain restrictions in place for his safety.

He was not allowed to venture outside of the palace grounds without supervision.

Yet, this did not deter him from visiting a special place within the palace walls that would play a crucial role in his future development.

The palace training grounds hummed with the sounds of clashing swords and grunting men.

The air was thick with the metallic scent of sweat and determination as the swordsmen, clad in their leather training armor, practiced tirelessly to protect the palace.

Including many recruits who are being trained to become the future swordsmen of Lordaeron.

Gleaming banners hung from the walls, rustling gently in the breeze as the sun beat down on the courtyard.

The ground was worn and dusty from years of intense training, marked by scuff marks and footprints. This was where bravery and skill were honed, where men were forged into heroes.

Arthas stood at the edge of the training grounds, his eyes wide with wonder as he watched the swordsmen spar with practiced precision.

The clang of steel meeting steel filled the air, echoing around the courtyard and adding to the atmosphere of intensity.

Arthas felt a spark of excitement ignite within him as he observed the skilled warriors in action.

He had always been fascinated by tales of valor and heroism, and seeing it firsthand only deepened his admiration for those who trained tirelessly to protect their homeland.

One particular swordsman caught Arthas's eye—a tall, imposing figure with a scar running across his cheek.

His movements were fluid yet powerful, each strike executed with deadly accuracy.

There was a sense of discipline and experience in the way he wielded his sword, a silent strength that commanded respect.

One of the veteran swordsmen, Sir Roland, who was in charge of training the recruits noticed Arthas standing on the sidelines and approached him with a warm smile.

"Curious about the art of swordsmanship, young prince?" Sir Roland's voice was gruff yet friendly as he spoke to Arthas.

Arthas nodded eagerly, his eyes still fixed on the ongoing sparring match before him.

"I've always admired the skill and courage of warriors. Will I be able to train like them one day?" Arthas asked, his voice tinged with a hint of excitement.

Sir Roland chuckled, ruffling Arthas's hair affectionately.

"With determination and discipline, anyone can learn the ways of the sword. But remember, it is not just about strength and skill, but also about honor and duty."

Arthas listened intently, his gaze never leaving the swordsmen as they continued their practice.

Sensing the boy's eagerness to learn, Sir Roland made a decision.

"Would you like to try your hand at wielding a sword, young prince?" he asked, gesturing towards a practice dummy sword lying on a nearby bench.

Arthas's eyes lit up with excitement at the offer, and he eagerly nodded his head in response.

Sir Roland handed him the practice sword, its weight much lighter than Arthas had expected.

The hilt felt smooth in his hands as he gripped it tightly, trying to mimic the stance of the swordsmen he had been observing.

With Sir Roland's guidance, Arthas began to move through the basic forms, his movements clumsy and uncoordinated at first.

But with each correction from the seasoned swordsman, he started to gain a sense of control and purpose in his actions.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the training grounds, Arthas's training session came to an end.

He was breathing heavily, sweat glistening on his forehead, but a wide grin spread across his face.

Sir Roland chuckled at the young prince's enthusiasm. "You have potential, Prince Arthas," he remarked, his voice gruff but approving.

"With time and practice, you could become a formidable swordsman."

Arthas beamed with pride at the compliment, the taste of sweat and victory fueling his determination.

From that day on, Arthas's afternoons were filled with training sessions under Sir Roland's watchful eye.

With each passing day, his skills improved, and his confidence grew.

Sir Roland became not just a mentor but a friend to Arthas, sharing tales of battles fought and victories won.

The bond between them strengthened, rooted in their shared love for the art of swordsmanship.

As Arthas honed his skills on the training grounds, a notification prompted from the system.
