Kapitel 187: Showcase, Part Five

{Isabella} 

Isabella moaned around a mouthful of sausage, her tail swishing happily as she sat beside Kimiko at their breakfast table.

[Ahhhh, gotta hand it to her, auntie can cook! Nothing's better,] She thought, deliberately ignoring how the way she was eating the sausage made her mother's eyes darken with desire. [Well, maybe ONE thing...]

The front door opened, and Isabella's ears perked up as Melisa walked in.

"Mel!" Isabella bounced in her seat. "Perfect timing! Want to come help me plan the showcase? I've got some ideas that'll blow your mind... among other things~"

But Melisa just shook her head, looking apologetic.

"Can't today, Izzy. Zephyra wants me at the palace. Something about analyzing that healing spell I made."

Isabella's tail stopped mid-swish.

[The spell that brought Mom back...]

"Oh," Isabella tried to keep her voice light. "Guess I'll have to blow something else then."

Melisa rolled her eyes fondly.
