Cordelia had few knights and their armor and weapons were not as grand as the knights from the capital.

Even Bernardo and his fellow mercenaries hadn't encountered a single knight from Riva for years as well.

Arabella learned from their thoughts that it was their first time seeing Riva knights fully clad in the most expensive and durable armor and weapons since the war with Arno years ago.

It was no wonder they were fearful of seeing Ferdinand's knights again for the first time in so long and were wary of them.
