(General POV)
Location the Nethervoid-The Dark Labyrinth of Endless Screams/The Domain of the Equinox
Just like the other Elder Daemons of Carnage, they possessed some of their dark master and father's power to bend the Warp and the Nethervoid to a lesser extent than their Dark God.
Hence the library of Ba'al, or the fortress belonging to Mordred, and the hive of Beelzabub, still the Triarch (Clo'thoa, Hather and Monica) were residing in the Palace of Depravity alongside their matriarch, soo they have yet to create their own domain in the Nethervoid...but Phobos has a very unique territory similar to the "Lair of the Maggot Lord" in the Plague Garden of Nurgle, Phobos made his domain, off the side of the Nethervoid itself...
Deep below the ground, of the lands of Carnage, the Lord and Father of the Nucklelavee created a dark maze, where no light or hope could ever reach.
A pitch black, network of tunnels, pathways and stairs that would make Tzeentch envious of the design...
All these dark paths all lead to one of three points of importance of this maze, entrance/exit to this literal abyss, next is the Black Hall were Phobos personally oversees and expand this nightmarish labyrinth feasting on the despair, terror, and screams of those taken and harvested from the Materium, which leaves the final point and chamber in this dark maze, is the Dungeon of Wails were both the living and dead are taken by either Phobos or his nuckelavee.
This dungeon resemble medieval dungeons of castles with cages, chains, and cells lining the stone and earth made walls...but aside from the dead bodies, the cells for the living are kept unlocked, allowing the captives to "escape" and go up the only stairs to enter the maze and only daemons are able to navigate and easily traverse the maze...all else are doomed to be lost forever, while roaming Lesser Nuckelavee, wander around in search of escapees...
A never ending game hunting and capturing, captives with no hope of escape only to become either feed for Phobos, as they are overwhelmed with fear and hopelessness or be turned into experimental subjects for the Dark Gods.
Cause of this both Khorne and Nurgle made Phobos' lair a forbidden zone for all other daemons aside from themselves, the Dark Ladies, and future Daemon Kings to enter.
Phobos became a boon and such a great necessity for the Gods of Chaos, that his safety and the security of the Labyrinth has become a top priority for them all...
Currently their are thousands of medieval humans, eldar, and even orkz running around helplessly in the domain of the Equinox, still fighting and clinging to false hope they can escape and run from the Equinox and his spawn.
Only to break away, slowly as they lose hope and sanity struggling to escape the maze that only daemons can navigate.
Right now within the personal chamber of the Equinox, the Black Hall, Phobos was waiting for his important guests.
At the command of the Dark One, he has refrained from leaving to harvest and terrorize battlefields in Realspace, soo as a loyal servent, he complied...and these guests are the three Chaos Gods themselves.
Few moments ago...
FLASHBACK...
Location the Nethervoid-The Western Edge/Over the Dark Labyrinth of Endless Screams
The Dark One was waiting for his brothers, having psychically contacted them a "day" ago and to come to the western edge of his domain so they can claim their 200 human-vassals to use as Daemonhosts, and if they wanted 100 of either eldar or orkz that were also captive in Phobos' domain.
Currently, Laharl was waiting over the edge with his six wings folded over his body, as his second coat that he usually appears in when he leaves his wings out, with his eyes closed and arm folded he spoke out, "It was about time, you two arrive." as he opened his eyes, and looked back to the two other Chaos Gods that have arrived.
Khorne manifesting in a huge hellfire meteorite, and Nurgle that came in his swarm of mites, flies, and other pest and insects both landing some distance from him.
Khorne and Nurgle greeted their older brother, and started to walk up next to him.
Once the trio of brothers, were standing side by side over the edge to the Warp-abyss, Laharl said to them, "Follow me, and please try not to kill all the captives...some might be useful for other things, you two." Nurgle promised he'll respect Laharl's wishes, while the Blood God said he'll behave, as Phobos has become an important asset to Chaos as a whole soo he swore no damage shall come to his Elder Daemon or said daemon's domain.
Knowing that was Khorne usual way of promising to behave and listen to his wishes, Laharl just chuckled before falling over the edge, followed by his brothers Khorne and Nurgle...
They allowed themselves to fall while staying close to the violet earth wall/cloister that was rapidly passing them as they kept on falling.
Eventually at the near bottom of the Nethervoid's cloister they was a platform of violet earth, Laharl pointed his left index claw at the location, to signal his younger brothers where they were targeting, all three of them maneuvered themselves to "land" at that spot.
In a flash three huge impacts occurred as they landed without any harm or issue, in front of the three Chaos Gods was a huge cave entrance...which lead to Phobos' domain, Laharl step forward a few spaces and turned to his siblings making a mocking gesture of welcome/go on through and said to his brothers, "After you two." Nurgle chuckled at the gesture, while Khorne groaned and responded, "Must you always kid brother?"
Khorne unintentionally left himself wide open for another come back, as Laharl said, "Only when your around, Khorne. Cause you make things much more...amusing..." Nurgle laughed and coughed as he proceeded on inside of the Labyrinth, followed by Laharl leaving the Blood God there to sigh and shake his head, as he commented, "If I didn't respect...and he wasn't my brother, I swear by the Primordial One, I'd take his skull already... What was the human saying again? Ohh yeah, "You can't pick family.""
Khorne sighed once more, and also pass into the cave entrance to the Dark Labyrinth.
PRESENT TIME...
Location the Nethervoid-The Dark Labyrinth of Endless Screams/The Black Hall
Deep within the chamber was utter darkness, and violet flame torches hanging from the dark stone columns that aligned the chambers in six rows all leading to the deepest part, were Phobos was lurking in the dark.
Eventually the Equinox was no longer alone, as he sensed three malignant and divine presences approaching the Black Hall.
The three Chaos Gods have finally arrived, as he trotted out the dark, heading towards the entrance of this chamber, to greet his VIPs sort of speaking.
It didn't take long for trio to enter the chamber, as the first to enter was the bloated, plague-ridden God, Nurgle, followed by his Dark God, walking confidently into the chamber with his wing folded over him, and his dark floating crown over his head.
Last to enter was the mighty Blood God, himself Khorne, with eyes burning as fire in his dark red brass armor, walking with the aura of pride, overflowing from the Chaos God of War.
Phobos cross his long right arm, over his chest and performed his version of a makeshift, respectful bow to the Dark Gods.
Welcoming them to his dark abode, Khorne was a bit indifferent, Nurgle smiled, and Laharl was pleased as he didn't need to explain or order anything, Phobos immediately walked passed them, asking them to follow him to the lower dungeons, to collect their bounties.
While leading them through the maze they've encountered several lesser nuckelavee, the skinless horse-daemon while not as sentient as any other daemon, in the Realm of Chaos they still showed respect to the Dark Gods, as they pass through the labyrinth.
After some time they arrived at the stairs that leads below to the Dungeon of Wails, Phobos offered the three, first to descend below, which the Chaos Gods gladly took and appreciated, as the trio made their way down.
Location the Nethervoid-The Dark Labyrinth of Endless Screams/The Dungeon of Wails
The trio along the Equinox made their way down to the dark, medieval dungeon, immediately they'll sensed thousands of various mortal souls.
These pleased the three Chaos Gods, especially Laharl as he was quite proud at his newest Elder Daemon not only for humiliating the bastard Anathema, but also exceeding his expectations...and this is before the Age of Technology when things start getting more violitile across the Galaxy, then comes the Slaanesh Birth and the Fall of the Eldar, which in turn gives rise to the next faction race, the Drukhari aka the Dark Eldar.
This meant that the legend and fear of the Horsed Reaper will drastically spread pass the humans, as harvest will greatly increase as more time passes in the Materium.
Not only will the forces of Chaos as a whole would prosper but the Dark One himself will gorge on the horror and fear that mortal that haven't escape or died on a battlefield, will experience, this though made the Dark Harbinger smile with pleased anticipation.
But that shall be in the future, now it was time to bring fort the newest addition to the Forces of Chaos, the Daemonhosts.
Phobos lead them through the dungeon as they saw countless mortal falling victim to the bloodlust of Khorne, or horribly sick in Nurgle presence, or utterly go mad at the visage of Laharl.
The only ones that had some semblance of sanity were the eldar that were using their psyker abilities to strengthen their minds as much that they could, but it was like a balloon holding the force of raging ocean so many still fell, the other that haven't fell was to the Dark One the most obvious the Orkz, only seeing them as bigger and better gitz to fight!!!
That and Laharl suspect that their simple mindedness was actually protecting them from falling victim to the presence of three actual daemonic, and sorta eldritch divine horrors such as him and his brothers.
That's when the Dark One had an idea, so Laharl stopped walking and spoke to his brothers, "Khorne. Nurgle. Aside from the 200 humans to make your daemonhosts, take some orkz as well." both the Rot Lord and the Blood God looked at their elder brother confused, with faces clearly showing confusion.
As Laharl clarified, as he explained to them, looking to a cell as several orkz came charging at him screaming "Waaaaggghhh!!!" Laharl began speaking as the greenskins tried to krump him, and his brothers, "Despite their simple brains. Orkz are resilient, violet, and carnage Incarnate. Because of this they are great, source of offering for us...and material to create new daemons for you two." as Laharl glanced at his brothers who were contemplating his idea.
Laharl explained further, saying while they're brainless brutes with great amount of cunning and potential, they are able to create things that defy logic and reason making them both the perfect forgers/smiths while also still be deadly killer and daemonic warriors for the Blood Legion.
The Blood God was intrigued and deeply contemplating this suggestion as his Forge needs daemons capable of making weapons and armors for his legions, and they'd make better forgers than Bloodletters.
Then he addressed Nurgle telling him while orkz are quite strong and resistant against plagues and disease, they can still be inflicted by them and should they be turned into plague-ridden daemons not only will the Plague Legion gain a powerful, durable new addition but they can be the first versatile force for the legions, either as brutal melee combatants or range fighters, which will start covering that weakness for Nurgle's forces.
Nurgle liked this suggestion quite a lot, despite his slow, encroaching force his children are their biggest weakness has always been range options, plus the orkz physiology of being fungus and spore xenos, are perfect to his army.
Soo both the Plague and Blood Gods agreed and thanked Laharl, for his incredible idea and will gladly add their own variety of the orkz, to their daemonic legions.
With that settle, Laharl looked down at the orkz still trying to crush and bash in him, Khorne, and Nurgle only for the Dark One to pick up one by the back of his clothes, and lift him to eye level and say, "It was amusing at first but you and your boyz are getting annoying." tossing the ork over at Khorne, who in turn caught it.
Using his ruinous power, Khorne absorbed the ork to gain knowledge and the essence to create his future daemons, when the orkz saw this they tried to run back to their cell, only for it to close before them, as Laharl, Nurgle, and Khorne along with Phobos looked down at them.
Phobos asked the cowarding ork, "Where is that famous greenskin stubborness now?" as the Chaos Gods glowing eyes stared and their vile laughter filled the dungeon...
After both Khorne and Nurgle were finished collecting and absorbing hundreds of orkz they took as offered two hundred broken, but still living humans which only make things easier for them to introduce a daemon into them without any sorts of resistance.
Laharl started summoning the essence and conscienceness of two hundred banished daemons that still haven't reformed in the Nethervoid, they answered their dark master's call and the offer to have a body again to serve, they gladly accepted and came upon being called.
Pointing his Claw of Hades at the broken mortals Laharl forced his will and introduced the daemonic essence of his neverborn into the humans.
They started to scream, twitch, and have convulsions as blood poured out the wounds and tearing flesh of the process of transforming into the first Daemonhosts, of course they won't be as big and buff, as future Space Marines but they'll comparable to some daemons, maybe more. [For reference check out Chaos Marine reveal 2023 for cultists and new daemonhosts]
In the end many daemonic mutated beings stood in front of the Dark One, some of these mutations range from violet skin tone, sharp-teeth, massive left claw or a extra limb as a claw, some gained the Venom like tongue common for knightmares, and even sprouting pieces of the knightmare armor and helmets, and much more few look similar, as these nightmarish abominations were finished.
Roaring, groaning, and hissing in praise of the Dark One for granting them a new body and opportunity to cause carnage and slaughter in his name.
Pleased Laharl turned to his younger brothers and asked them, "Which one of you two, is next?
With that both Nurgle and Khorne did as their brother, summoning the essence and conscienceness of their "fallen" daemons to possess the two-hundred humans, broken and corrupted by their very presence...
(For appearances look for conversions of daemonhosts of Khorne with a lot of bloodletter traits and Nurgle with some likenesses to Poxwalker with plaguebearer traits.)
After they finished daemonic possessed mortals of Carnage, Blood, and Plague stood before them and they immediately send their newest additions to their respected legion, back to their domain both the Maggotking and the Blood God, thanked Laharl started to leave the Dark Labyrinth.
All the while, Laharl remain a bit longer as he praised and complimented Phobos' work and ordered him go resume harvesting battlefields, making the Equinox quite happy, as he bow to him and with that Laharl left as well...
Location the Blood Lands-Near the Forge of the Eight
After collecting what his brother promised, Khorne returned immediately to his realm the Blood Lands, already his new daemonhosts rushed to arm themselves and prepare to siege and slaughter in his name.
At the sametime Khorne, he was heading to the Forges of the Eight there he while create his newest daemons based off of the greenskins, already he commanded the bloodletters that worked the Forges to change from workers to guards, which in all honesty pleased them more, as he traversed the mountains and found the giant facility within the largest magma/lave pool that was feed by the volcano.
Deciding to use the same pool as the spawning point for his new daemons which he already named the Gore Butchers, Khorne walked to edge of the pool and kneeling down he submerged both his arms inside the lava and magma, while focusing the already twisted and molded essence of the orkz, this surge of Warp-energy caused the area to shake and the pool to bubble.
As a twisted crimson glowing tree with scarlet flesh like sacks started to emerge from the center of the pool, using the spore like quality of the former orkz he used, the Blood God also created this tree, the Blood Crying Tree that will produce countless gore butchers and drop the "Gestation Sacks" into the pool to emerge as fully grown daemons.
Speaking of already there were several of the new daemons starting to emerge from the pool, they were deep red skin, had great muscles and some physical traits like their base material of orkz, large horns some were cleaved off (think Hellboy), razor sharp teeth especially the lower "fangs" that were exposed out their mouth, deep glowing yellow eyes, black fur on their chest, legs and even a goat like thick beard.
Roaring and swimming out the lava more of their bodies started to be exposed like their black colored nails, cloven hoofed feet, and their red devil tail they have a litteral devil like appearance with unbelievable physical abilities from the orkz unnatural endurance and survivability, as well as their unbelievable crafting abilities that could rival the greatest Mek...as well as a complete immunity to fire that could rival a balrog.
As dozens started to emerge and upon seeing their dark master and creator they all roared out, "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!!!!" as Khorne stood up and removed his arms from the pool.
Looking over his newest daemons, the Gore Butchers, Khorne was completely pleased and satisfied with his work, he turned to the Forges of the Eight and pointed his right index clawed-finger at the facility, as said, "This shall be your domain, my Gore Butchers. Create weapons of war and destruction for all within the Blood Legion. Grow in number, build endless weapons, craft the finest armor, and prepare for endless war and bloodshed!!!"
Once again the gore butchers yelled out, "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!!!!" as they all started rushing towards the Forges of the Eight, to do as the Blood God commanded.
Now with everything done, Khorne started to return to the Gore Fortress and join his wife as once again the forces of blood have grown in strength.
