THE LIBRARY OF THE CONJURER COURT
Gagarine was about to leave when he remembered something.
"Be careful about Prince Kolgane", Gagarine told us.
"Why should we, he's already dead", I replied to him and asked.
"The Dark magic of the Lich King does not die easily. His conjurers may still be able to revive him someday", Gagarine told me.
"Don't worry. I killed him before, I will kill him again if he reappears", I promised Gagarine.
----
After sending Gagarine off, we left Uralis city too.
As we gazed upon the city from above, a chilling sight unfolded before our eyes as skeletal figures emerging from the earth below.
Despite our victory over Kolgane, the skeletal uprising showed no signs of abating.
Once again, the kingdom of Trogdol found itself besieged by a new scourge of skeletons. Barely recovered from the threat of the liches and their Lich King, the people now confronted a fresh calamity, the tyrannical rule of the skeletal horde.
-----
Upon stepping into the library of the Conjurer Court, my anticipation was high, fueled by the memory of the impeccably organized halls of the Knight Templar Academy's library.
I envisioned a space teeming with knowledge, equipped with remarkable amenities.
To my dismay, what greeted me was a scene of chaos—a sprawling mound of books strewn haphazardly throughout what seemed like an endless warehouse. This place wasn't a library. This was a graveyard for forgotten books.
Access to this library was restricted to the elite few among conjurers; only the high-ranking members were granted entry. Consequently, the responsibility of maintaining order within its disarrayed confines fell upon a scant handful of individuals, who weren't used to cleaning their own mess.
------
"It may be a little disorganized here in the library. I'm afraid it may not be easy for you to find what you want here", Conjurer Iras told me as he brought me to the library of the Conjurer Court.
"There isn't anyone else in this library", I discovered and told Iras.
"Nobody has asked to come here for a very long time. What are you looking for anyway?" he asked me.
"I just got bitten by the bookworm and wants to read something. Besides I've been to your secret vault, there is no reward that I want from there. So, I thought about coming here to see what I can find", I replied to him.
"Suit yourself. You may take as much time as you please in the library. Nobody will come in here after I leave. Do lock the door when you leave", Iras said to me before he left me to the books in the library.
After Iras left, I focused on my Faberge Ring and brought Meera out. Meera was waiting inside Sara's Hell Tank and when there was nobody around, I could bring her out.
I even brought Asterix and several of her assistants to the library. They would have book sweeping and scanning duty.
"I am so excited, master. I wanted to read the books here for a very long time", Meera told me excitedly.
Asterix and her assistants quickly went to work as they sorted the books strewn across the chaotic library, as the books were arranged by their doctrines - Works of history, templar magic, artifact mastery, religious doctrines and many other different doctrines.
The drones scanned the contents of the works while Meera browsed through the pile of books on religious doctrines.
"There are so many prophecies of Revelations that I don't have", Meera told me excitedly as she browsed the books and scrolls.
Studying her religion was Meera's greatest interest and she was overjoyed by the opportunity to read new works.
As for me, I didn't have time to look through the works in the library. It was unnecessary for me because Asterix would upload the contents of these books into her database, and I would have access to all the knowledge of the library from there.
I stayed in the library mainly to accompany Meera.
Suddenly, I noticed something moving among a pile of books.
"Who is there?" I asked but nobody answered me.
So, I went to check and to my surprise, I found a monkey browsing through one of the books. The monkey was also someone familiar to me.
"Hanuman, why are you here in this library?" I asked the Ayen god.
I first met Hanuman in the Island of Byorgvin. He taught me how to use the magic of my bones to empower my templar magic.
"Who are you? Do I know you?" Hanuman asked me as he brought out a pair of glasses to put it on.
"Oh, it is you again, Arhus. I thought you perished while fighting Jormunan", Hanuman said to me.
While I was in Byorgvin, I used my face changing magic to transform into Arhus, the son of Byorgvin's chief who died on the journey back to Byorgvin Island. I defeated the great serpent Jormungan and faked my death in the battle, to close the chapter on my alter-ego as Arhus the Demon of Byorgvin.
"How did you know it is me?" I asked the Ayen god.
"I can read your magic with my reading glass", he replied to me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"I travel a lot and love to read, so I came here to this library. I was here for a month, and you are the only human who came", Hanuman replied to me.
I realized now why the library was so messy when I came here. Hanuman was browsing through the books in the library without cleaning up after.
"I improved my magic a lot with the Empowering arraye that you taught me. I even awakened a bone realm in my body that hold my bone magic", I said to Hanuman.
"Did you awaken a bone realm? That is odd. Few humans could do so before their Cakra awakening", Hanuman said to me.
"What awakening?" I asked him.
"The awakening of Cakra is the magic of Prolis", Hanuman told me.
"What does the Cakra have to do with my bone magic?" I asked him.
