The next few months were one of the most hectic in Acura's life. By the day he would work in the junkyard and at night he would research the ways of Prana with his father. He also awakened Iraivan, his living Spirit Library that had all his knowledge from his previous life that literally spanned more than a few million years' worth of knowledge.
Iraivan's awakening was an enormous help for him. He had literally forgotten the power of the enormous amount of knowledge he had. In literal terms, the power of that knowledge would have exploded his current self if it was directly within him. most of the knowledge he collected over the years themselves had a power uniquely belonging to it. With that much knowledge and power, Iraivan wasn't much different from a regular living being now rather than the artificial spiritual being he was at the beginning.
Hence, Iraivan was currently like a super quantum computer, an ancient infinite library and a friend all rolled into one being. With Iraivan's help, it barely took Acura a day to devise a way to turn his innate spiritual power into the Prana recognized by this world.

"Master," Iraivan began his explanation of Prana "The so-called Prana is simply spiritual energy formed from mind and soul refined by the vital energy of one's body. The main reason you were having trouble with applying your spiritual energy was because it was not refined by your body and was purely affected by your extremely powerful soul."
"So that means to get my spiritual energy recognized by the World Laws of this world I simply have to get it refined by my body. And then I might even be able to use my previous knowledge to the Transmutation power to unleash its true strength." Acura nodded with realisation
"Yes master," Iraivan agreed "Your transmutation is a real cheat as it is borderline on reality transformation power. As long as you have the knowledge of how a certain substance behaves, you will be able to produce it with the raw materials available to you. It can even let you apply the supremely powerful runes such as the Dragon Runes to the weapons and armor you create."
"Hmm, I really should thank father for this. The ancient knowledge of this world's Asura race really helped me out this time. That reminds me, what about the other knowledge in the manuscripts and books dad gave? Anything we can derive from it that will be useful for the human body I have currently?"
"Yes master" Iraivan replied "Although their elemental affinity physique arts are useless to us since you are human, their elemental physique refining arts can be combined with body refining arts we have in the library to produce a unique art suitable to be applied for humans."
"The prerequisite is the highly pure spiritual energy requirement, but that is pretty much meaningless to you with your soul of the Wisdom Demon Emperor. If you claim to be second in terms of purity of spiritual energy then no one will claim to be first." Iraivan commented with a chuckle
"True, I was even able to brute force the creation of spirit iron and dark tungsten precisely because of the Strength, Quality and Density of my spiritual energy. So, have you managed to perfect the Modified Physique Art?"
"Yes, I have, master" Iraivan replied as he transmitted the information to Acura "their original elemental physique art concentrated on the three main nadi or channels in the human body. As they advanced, they unlocked 98 additional nadi bringing their physique to the elemental peak that can be achieved by mortals. However, they were not able to utilise the 71,899 additional nadi that remain unused in their bodies."
"The modified art focuses on unlocking all 72,000 nadi present in the body to give your body a physique unmatched on heaven and earth, along with the constant high-speed refinement of Prana. This will allow you to have nearly endless Prana that will keep refining your body constantly on its own. This will have additional benefits of giving you hyper speed regeneration, supreme strength, unparalled vitality and much more."
"Good, how soon can we start?" Acura asked excitedly.
"Anytime you desire master" Iraivan replied "but the refinement will truly be painful. It is not in the least inferior to the 1001 heavenly tribulation you endured in previously to become the Demon Emperor."
"Hmm" Acura hesitated upon hearing this. That tribulation had really put him in a spot that time, and that too when he had his supreme demon body. Currently he was only human, would he be able to handle it?
However, soon a steely glint flashed in his eyes as he remembered his mothers last words and his promise to her. All his hesitation vanished at that precise moment. He thought about how to go for it and devised a plan.
"What? You want to focus on a transmutation experiment of yours based on the knowledge you got from the books?" Acura's father Yash was stunned. Just how long had it been since he had given those books to Acura, barely two days. In that time, he had already comprehended them and devised an application for his powers?
"Yes, I will start tonight and it might take me a few days. Don't worry, I have enough food and water in my shed. You just take care of yourself these few days."
"Hmph, you worry about yourself boy. Don't end up doing irreversible damage to yourself in pursuit of knowledge. I can take care of myself; I have plenty of lone time experience from before I met your mother. Whether you succeed or not, just make sure to come back safe and sound." His father said as he went back to his room to pore over his books.
Having got his father's permission, Acura went to his shed in the junkyard, where he kept the refined metals essences, he extracted from the junk he collected. He reinforced the shed with the metal essences, transforming it into an impregnable fortress with no doors or windows. It also had triple layered insulation with the gap between each layer filled with crystalized sand.
After his preparation was complete, he told Iraivan to start the procedure. The next moment horrible pain blurred out his senses. It felt as if his skin was being peeled off in thin layers while his bones and muscles were being crushed to powder and pulp. Then he would feel he recovered, before the pain knocked on his senses once again.
Over and over and over, time became meaningless. Whether one moment passed or a hundred or a thousand, every moment seemingly became endless. However, no matter how much the pain threatened to tear his mind apart, Acura kept himself awake. He manipulated his spiritual energy with sheer will power and kept infusing it into his rapidly changing body.
After unknown amount of time, just as Acura thought he might actually fail in successfully refining his body, a surge of cool yet tyrannical energy surged into him. The new energy mixed with his spiritual energy and valiantly entered each and every cell of his body. Just as Acura felt he might burst from energy saturation; the absorbed energy was compressed by his evolving physique. The energy became more and more dense and potent as even more energy surged into him and the compression process happened again. Acura knew at this point that there was apparently an unknown side effect to the new modified art and he had completely lost control of the process at this point.

In the outside world, Yash was pacing worriedly outside Acura's shed. It had been two days yet there was no news from Acura. His shed was sealed up pretty tightly. He didn't know how Acura did it but the weak looking shed was impenetrable even by their strongest junkyard tools. Just as he was wondering what further he could do, one of his colleagues from the junkyard came running towards him.
"Hurry up Yash!! Boss has ordered emergency evacuation for all of us!!"
"Hold up, calm down!" Yash told his colleague who was in a panic "what happened exactly?"
"The worst possible thing that could have happened," the man said hysterically "the Chaos Gate at Kurukshetra became berserk an hour ago. It has transformed into a Chaos Calamity now!! The entire land of Kurukshetra and its nearby region has transformed into a forbidden land. An army of mutated Aberrants can arrive here at any time so we have to leave now!!"
Yash was shocked, Chaos calamity was a rare phenomenon where the Stellar Energy in the Chaos Gates became unstable, giving rise to rapidly mutating Aberrants. Curiously, every Chaos Gate was born at the sites of important legends and historical events. The Chaos Calamity always recreated a twisted horrible aberrant form of those legendary characters in the events that happened. Though the aberrant characters were just an imitation of actual legends, their power was nothing to scoff at. The amount of people who have challenged Chaos Calamity and remained alive were as rare as miracles of god.
He was in a bind now, what was he supposed to do? Stay here beside Acura and face certain death? Or abandon his only child and try to save himself?
