Karyan's body tensed, "neaaaaaaaghhh!" he screamed, as it cut through the clearing as his consciousness slipped away.
He passes out.
"What did you do?" Reverie jumped towards the old woman, her hands raised as if they were ready to strike.
The woman raised her hand too, "Peace, child. His magic is wild, uncontrolled. I've calmed it, for now."
Reverie's stance softened, but her eyes were still glaring at the woman with suspicion. "You better be right."
Sin stepped closer. "If you hurt him..."
"I have no such intention," the woman said. "My magic is old, not cruel, blue haired-demon."
"You know…?"
"Why does everyone hate Mateo?" Reverie immediately questioned.
The woman sighed. "He's our curse. He takes, destroys, never gives."
Reverie looked at Karyan, her eyebrows lowered down, "Can you stop what's happening to him?"
"Maybe," the woman replied. "But it's tied to his past…"
"How?" Sin demanded.
