Kapitel 7: The Playdate and Future Proposal?

Thankfully it's this story, you guys seem to like it, so I'll continue it, thanks for reading up on this part.
The events of yesterday took a toll on Ember's body more than anything she's ever done, while besides giving birth to Lucia, she slept for a full 24 hours, Danny didn't even bother to wake her up and took care of Lucia while was she was slumbering, Danny noticed that ghost babies were naturally quieter than human babies, not fussing around too much and always being quiet, just staring at their parents, Spectra was always around to make sure things were not too complicated for him, but she was in Casper High and said she wasn't going to come over because the number of papers on every student that she had to cover.
But to her, she loved babies and had always had a soft spot for them, and unfortunately due to the Car Accident she suffered when she was a human, her tubes were tied which made it impossible for her to carry, but she managed the emotional stress somehow with the help of Ember and Kitty.
The afternoon after the event, the Ghost Hero was feeding the bottle to Lucia, she was just so adorable to look at, her skin was pale like Ember's and she was wearing the small Onesie that Kitty bought for her, he couldn't believe that this was his life now, how he was able to knock up the most beautiful Ghost Rocker in all of the Zone's existence, he didn't if he wanted to laugh or cry about that, all the hints that they tossed to each other, the smirks, her winks, he remembered when she bound him and said that she was finally going to take over the world. He called her bluff and then she broke down and admitted that she wanted them to date, saying that the sexual tension was too much for her to handle, especially when she flashed him for a nanosecond exposing her nipples to him.
Danny laughed as he recalled those moments, "I'm surprised she didn't poison me or something" Danny chuckled, even when the two had sex, he always kept his guard up, hoping it was a trap and that he could spring into action. But thankfully that moment never came, Lucia began to cry as she spat out the bottle, her tears swelled up, causing him to startle himself, as she was always quiet, just making gurgling sounds, the doctors and Spectra always said that ghost babies were always like this, so it was natural.
"Awww what's the problem cutie?" he held upright and against his strong chest for warmth, "Don't fret, you've got people who care very deeply for you." He smiled, wiping his daughter's tears and kissing her forehead.
Ember came into the nursery and noticed him and Lucia bonding together, which warmed her heart.
"Hey, Dipstick, how's everything going?" She floated towards them, Lucia's eyes turned to her, and she flailed her arms, wanting to be with her mother now.
"Hey Lucy, sorry mommy wasn't around for a while, she had to get rid of some scary people" She stated, which elicited chuckles from him, she then softly grabbed Lucia from him and hummed a sweet tune, which calmed her down even more. Danny smiled warmly at her, He walked over to them as his arms wrapped around her, "Glad you're alright"
He pecked her cheek. Causing her to blush.
"Yeah well, I guess you could say I just went through hell today, but hey. At least I'm alive" She said.
"Ironic" Danny giggled, which caused his to get flicked by her.
As they went into the Kitchen with Lucia Ember thought about something.
"Why don't we take Lucia to the Ghost Park?"
"Whaaaa" Danny said shocked, after what happened yesterday and how basically everyone in the Ghost Zone knows that they are together, why would she suggest that,
especially since she was a celebrity here, it's not exactly safe.
"It will be fun!" Ember exclaimed, "We can't be here all the time, and we can't go to the human world with a Ghost Baby, because their skins are not used to it and they can be exposed to things. Isn't that right Lucia?" She said tickling her daughter, Lucia giggled and waved her little hand flapping at her mom.
"I don't care what happens to me, those creeps can make all the comments they want, I just want Lucia to have a normal surroundings, we're parents after all." Ember said smiling warmly at him, "Besides it will be our first family outing, are you saying you don't want that?"
"Of course, I do," Danny said sternly, "It's just that we should let things cool down don't you think?"
"Meh, the grudge will always be there towards me hooking up with you. So why not just go."
"Okay fine, our eyes will just focus on her at all times."
"Yep, we should get ready to go." Ember smiled, she was ecstatic for this to happen, despite everything that happened, she knew that no one will be that evil to harm a baby, their baby of all things. They're looking for a quick expulsion into darkness if that was the case.
It was a beautiful day by the Ghost Zone's standards, it was usually all greenish and black for the sky but it was part of the course, they grabbed all they can with bags and toys, and also a camera
As they traveled together with Lucia, some stared at them and whispered, Ember rolled her eyes while trying to keep her temper in check, the news of their relationship had the ghost zone in quite a stir. But they tried to go on with their day and spend time with Lucia on her first playdate.
As they arrived at the Ghost Park there were a few children and babies there with their parents, the park was moderately sized with a few swings and a playground with tubes, playsets, slides, and more toys, ectoplasmic energy flowing through the air, making the grass glow green.
"This way Lucia," Ember smirked, carrying her daughter to the swing that had a baby swing for her size, when she put her on there a few parents were flabbergasted at what they saw, Danny and Ember trying their best not to make anything of them, the ghost parents glared at Danny, they had always heard stories about them trapping other ghosts that came into the human world with his thermos, they couldn't believe that he would be with Ember, they never would have thought about that.
But their gaze quickly went back to the child that they were observing, they had to admit, she was pretty cute, she had natural blue hair and paled skin, she looked exactly like Ember, and maybe she had Danny's personality.
The prejudice inside them might want to take their kids away from the park, but they had to admit that they respected their decision to bring them here in the first place, maybe some ghost paparazzi were around and they didn't notice, but one mom spoke up.
"So, uh, how's it going." The mom told Ember, "How's motherhood?" She began to warm up and smile, causing Ember to be surprised before she understood where this was leading to.
"It's great, being a mother rocks, Lucia seems really calm for a ghost baby hybrid."
"Let's just hope that she doesn't grow up to be a ghost fighter." She replied back, winking at Danny, he sighed but chuckled.
The time spent at the park was nice, many parents were not as hostile as predicted and they weren't swarmed, Danny told the parents that he planned to stay at the Ghost Zone to start a new chapter with Ember and Lucia at his side.
The other parents introduced their kids and it felt like a little play date party, as Danny was engaging with the company, he could help but be reminded of the time his mom took him to the park, he sighed, why couldn't she just accept the fact that he and Ember loved each other.
A few hours passed and they went back home, floating towards Ember's door Zone and opening it, she had a relieved face.
"That wasn't so bad, I thought it would have been worse." She stated, holding a sleeping Lucia as she wasted all her energy on having fun in the playground
"Yeah, it was pretty sweet." He said, removing the water balloons that had popped on his head off of it, some kids decided to throw it at his head. He couldn't tell if they were playing or if it was revenge for some reason.
As they were about to close the door, Spectra stepped right in.
"Oops, my bad." Spectra giggled, "You guys almost locked me out."
Danny groaned, it's not like he wasn't expecting her as she did state that she would come back later, he closed the door.
"I can see you guys went somewhere." She stated, noticing Dannny's almost wet hair.
"I get pelted with some water balloons." Danny shrugged.
"Yeah, kids do that when given the opportunity." Spectra nodded, glancing at Lucia, who was still asleep.
"I'm going to put Lucia in her crib, poor girl was having too much fun." Ember quietly said, she then floated over to the nursery.
When she was out of view, Spectra punched Danny's back and growled at him.
"You really disappointed me." She quietly said, crossing her arms, a surprised Danny looked at her puzzled.
"What the heck did I do."
"You've been with Ember for almost a few years now, fucking her brains out, fondling her body like a huge pervert, even when you were 'sworn enemies', you guys always act like you were fighting but would always go into her zone to make love to each other and then go on dates in secret."
Danny blushed hard hearing those words, it was really awkward hearing her talk about private things they did, especially since it was his former counselor.
"You haven't even popped the question of marriage?!" She growled.
Danny's eyes popped wide open.
"Oh my gosh, you're right! Why the hell haven't I done it? That is definitely an appropriate time, it's just that the surprise of her pregnancy clouded everything."
"No shit it is, just do something about it will ya." Spectra poked his chest, "Women love when men take direction in relationships." She puffed, and he nodded.
"Tell her I'm going to my Zone to get a few things," Spectra stated and went away, Ember then came back, with a puzzled look on her face seeing his smiling look.
"Wait, where did she go?"
"Oh um, she just had to get some things," Danny repeated the words that he said, she smiled and floated towards him, she kissed him softly, as they sat together on the couch, his head laying on her lap, watching some television.
That was a nice change of pace from the last chapter, but don't worry, from here on out, it gets a whole lot darker, thanks for reading and reviewing and I'll see you all next time!
