The next day, I was still in a daze. I don't even remember what happened after that dinner last night because everything else after that became a blur. It seemed like a dream to me.

I heard him talking, but I couldn't understand the words coming out of his mouth, nor could I remember my responses. It's as if I have fallen into a reverie even though I was still awake.

In my head, his response just kept playing over and over, like a broken record. 

No– it's more like my mind was milking it dry while it spouts its interpretations. 

'Does he mean he likes me? Why did he say it was not a problem for him? So, he likes me? Is that it? Does he like me? But that's weird… How can he like me? I mean, he hates people…? Does he like me or not?'

It was like that. A mess.
